World Line Anime Convention D2 is completely over, and I'm currently paralyzed on the ground, completely unwilling to move. This cosplay costume is really super heavy; wearing it is literally carrying a heavy load forward, and every step consumed a tremendous amount of physical energy. Especially the leg rings paired with white stockings, which kept sliding downwards and needed to be pulled up every few steps, seriously affecting my state. High heels are also a huge trap; after walking for a long time, my legs and feet hurt like crazy, and the soles of my feet felt like they were on fire. Plus, since I am quite short, the accessories at the back of the skirt hem kept hitting my back ankles, hitting me once with every step. I felt like I had been attacked by the accessories tens of thousands of times, and my ankles were about to swell up. I've been rushing around non-stop since entering the venue today. Because this outfit has a lot of accessories, putting it on and taking it off is extremely troublesome, and even going to the restroom takes half a day of hassle. To maintain the character's image, I kept myself in a tense state almost the whole time, not daring to make big movements for fear that something would fall off. As a result, whatever I feared happened: although the leg rings and waist accessories barely held up, the ankle impacts were truly unavoidable.
I originally recorded a short transformation video wanting to post a cool video, but after removing my makeup, I realized I messed it up. At that moment my brain was fried; I either forgot to press the start button or selected the wrong footage, ruining today's makeup styling and state in vain. I hadn't eaten anything all day either; opening my phone made me feel so tired, and my whole body was in an extreme state of exhaustion. Everyone at the convention was very enthusiastic, but after a day of high-intensity interaction, my voice was a little hoarse. On the way home sitting in the car daydreaming, looking at the night view outside the window, I felt like my soul was floating in mid-air. Thanks to Master 233 for dragging me to the convention; without him, I might have really collapsed and failed to get up at the venue entrance, and wouldn't even have been able to hail a ride back.
Doing cosplay is really heavy physical labor, especially for characters with such heavy work, complexity, and numerous accessories. You have to consider not only the character's accuracy but also the actual wearing comfort. Next time I must test the stability of the equipment in advance, and absolutely eat breakfast. Right now, I just want to rush home, take a hot bath, take off this outfit, and have a good sleep. Although the process was torturous, seeing the Convention photos still made me quite happy, but my physical state right now really doesn't allow me to stand up again. The aftereffects of the convention are too severe; it feels like all the bones in my body are protesting. I will never dare to go to a convention on an empty stomach with high intensity again; this is literally cosplaying with my life. Once I recover, I might start figuring out how to modify the equipment for next time. After all, passion can withstand the long years, but physical stamina is truly a critical weakness. But speaking of which, it was still great fun hanging out with everyone this time. I hope next time I can prepare more thoroughly, suffer less, and hope my leg rings behave and stop falling down. Although I was very exhausted today, I met many fellow fans who love this character; everyone was very polite, and exchanging photos went smoothly. But the moment I got home, I really felt like my whole body had been hollowed out. From makeup and styling in the morning to packing up the exhibition at night, over a dozen hours of high-intensity consumption left me with a sore back, aching waist, and leg cramps. In the future, I still need to exercise more, otherwise I really can't handle this kind of heavy-work equipment.
