Today I shot this photo set of C.C. from Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion; Green hair cosplay and a pure white uniform truly remain an iconic pairing in my heart. The tailoring of this outfit is highly distinctive: the high-collared top features a black leather-textured ring ornament around the neckline, exuding an aloof elegance through subtle details. The sleeves are wide flare sleeves, exceptionally loose at the cuffs and adorned with black ring straps and greyish-white long ribbons, lending the entire look dynamic flow and depth whether standing still or caught in a gentle breeze.
The bottoms are white, slightly flared trousers featuring two vertical silver zippers running down the front of each leg. To enhance visual depth and evoke the character's rebellious edge, I unzipped the ankles slightly to reveal the light-colored White stockings and inner lining underneath. Paired with white pointed-toe high heels, this elongated my silhouette into a sleek, tall posture while preventing the all-white ensemble from looking bulky.
Prop-wise, I selected a slender silver metallic cane featuring a unique handle structure. Resting the cane vertically on the ground while holding it naturally and loosely in my right hand visually added a poised sense of ritual and symbolic authority. The location was set on an urban high-rise rooftop, framed against distant city skylines and the sky's twilight blue-and-pink gradient. The natural ambient light was exceptionally soft without harsh directional shadows, allowing the pure white outfit to look clean and luminous while creating a striking color clash between the luminous green wig and the cool blue sky in this Rooftop photography session.
Posing near the rooftop edge naturally carried a bit of pressure. Although the low black wall and glass railing ensured safety, high-altitude wind currents posed a real challenge for Rooftop photography. Managing the long hair and controlling its flutter in the wind was tricky; the photographer had to capture the most natural moments, ensuring the smooth green hair exhibited proper flow while keeping my raised left hand's fingers naturally relaxed and coordinated. We tested numerous angles and stances to find poses that embodied C.C.'s nonchalant, lazy composure and all-controlling presence, while remaining ergonomically flattering. The open zippers, black-and-white color contrast, and the cane's metallic glints in the twilight all caught the light dramatically; fine-tuning every reflection to look just right took extensive adjustments to achieve our desired effect.
I am quite pleased with how this photo set turned out. Performing this CCcos before the lens is far more than putting on a costume and wig; it is an immersive embodiment of character temperament. Portraying this pure white elegance infused with mysterious coolness required restraining my habitual mannerisms to harmonize with the tranquil ambiance. The costume fabric was carefully selected to exhibit a pure, subtle sheen under natural light while ensuring wearing comfort—after all, holding various intricate poses on a rooftop would have been torture if the garment were too constricting.
Although I only brought a simple silver cane as a prop this time, relying on expressive body language—especially casually resting my hand atop the cane—felt more than sufficient to outline her otherworldly detachment. Overall, completing this Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion CCcos shoot in such breathtaking twilight was a truly delightful experience.
