This Sandrone ensemble boasts remarkable intricacy, anchored by a rich, structured palette of black, gold, and crimson. The immediate physical sensation of wearing it is its multi-tiered weight: the skirt cascades in layered textiles, featuring black outer fabric printed with golden geometric motifs over ruffled white petticoats beneath. To sustain such voluminous presence, the corset and back lacing had to be cinched tight, leaving noticeable soreness in my waist and shoulders after half a day of shooting.

Styling the wig required extensive preparation. Faithfully capturing her distinctive hairstyle demanded layering and thinning out generous sections of pale-blonde fibers, secured with the oversized white bow atop the crown and black-and-crimson side hairpieces. Because the wig possessed natural fullness, applying hairspray called for precise directional control to avoid an overly dense silhouette. For makeup, complementing the vivid blue contact lenses, I laid an expansive earth-toned base across the eyelids, deepened the socket contours, and drew a subtly lifted eyeliner wing for added gaze sharpness, finishing with a cool-toned lip to keep the complexion pristine.

The shoot took place at the Shiyue Cosplay Experience Studio in Zhengzhou. The studio set design was thoughtful: the centerpiece featured a deep-crimson vintage leather sofa set against matching dark wooden bookshelves and damask-patterned wallpaper in muted red, establishing a lighting and tonal stage tailored to this wardrobe. We dressed the desk with props including teacups, a wooden model sailboat, a chessboard, and a retro kerosene lamp, flanked on the right by a gilded full-length mirror and a large decorative birdcage. These props enriched visual depth and gave my posing organic anchors for interaction.

Lighting stood as a defining pillar of this production. The photographer positioned a warm-toned key light to the left, simulating ambient desk lamp glow or soft candlelight. This warm directional beam falling across the black-and-gold folds and porcelain skin sculpted crisp chiaroscuro boundaries, instantly elevating dimensional depth. Seated on the sofa, I held my spine erect—arms crossed or resting a cheek lightly on one hand—allowing the skirt to drape naturally over the crimson leather, while the photographer directed me to extend or cross my legs clad in White stockings to stretch visual proportions.

The floor-seated sequences were particularly demanding physically. Reclining on the rug in profile required elongating leg lines while preserving an upright, poised posture and preventing the sprawling skirt from pooling into an unkempt mass. Given the heft of both wig and gown, every minor adjustment required resetting the folds of the skirt and detached sleeves. Throughout the takes, I remained vigilant about my jawline angle, the delicate touch of fingers along my cheek or teacup, and line-of-sight precision. To counter physical fatigue caused by the costume's weight, I leaned against the sofa back during breaks to recharge without slumping.

During post-production discussions with Shiyue, we committed to preserving the textural quality of a classical oil painting. Rather than aggressive skin smoothing, we retained organic skin texture and the fine filmic grain introduced by the warm ambient lights, emphasizing chromatic tension between rich crimson and black-gold. The overarching tone leans moody and deep while keeping character contours sharp, harmonizing with the narrative depth of the scene. I am truly delighted with how faithfully this set brings her presence to life.
