Preparing the costume and props for this Komeiji Koishi cosplay took quite a bit of thought and dedication. Because the vision was anchored in a lush garden setting, extensive homework went into everything from wardrobe coordination to outdoor location scouting.

The structure of this idol costume is far more intricate than it might appear. The upper bodice is layered with white and semi-sheer black lace, finished along the edges with bright green piping. Both the puff sleeves and bell cuffs feature delicate white tulle that flutters effortlessly with the slightest movement. The lower half features a grass-green puffy skirt overlaid with several tiers of black pleated tulle; because the skirt is relatively short, I specifically paired it with floral-patterned black pantyhose (Stockings). This not only echoed the overall black-and-green palette but also visually elongated my leg lines, pairing with glossy black chunky heels to create a cohesive silhouette.

The blue floral vine draping across the chest and waist is truly the soul of the ensemble. Purple cords intertwine with petite blue blossoms centered around a blue sphere prop. To keep the vine securely anchored, I used multiple hidden snaps and safety pins, having to readjust its placement every time I walked or sat down to prevent it from snapping under tension.

For the makeup, since the wig was a soft mint green (Green hair cosplay), I used warm, reddish tones for the eyeshadow to balance out the cool palette. Bright green contact lenses were chosen to complement the blunt-cut bangs and softly curled side locks, striving to evoke an exquisite, ethereal presence. The black tulle and oversized white bow on the hat were wonderful highlights, adding striking volumetric silhouette once worn.

The shooting took place in a garden bursting with blooming hydrangeas. The sunshine was radiant that day, weaving dappled leafy shadows with the vivid floral colors. Gorgeous as the scenery was, maneuvering through the bushes in such a multi-layered dress while balancing on high heels was definitely a physical challenge. Between takes, I constantly touched up makeup and freed the skirt hem and floral vines from snagging branches. To craft compelling compositions, I explored both standing and seated poses, using the garden's green bench and naturally sprawling boughs as foreground elements to evoke the feeling of being nestled deep within a sea of blossoms.

While curating the selects, the shot sitting on the bench and the standing profile pose touching my lip stood out with ideal lighting and framing. The garden's lush green background formed a striking contrast with the vibrant green and black tones of the costume, accentuating the character while preserving the organic vitality of the environment. The intricate details of this cosplay coordinate blended seamlessly with the outdoor atmosphere, and I am thrilled to have preserved these moments so completely.
