[Cheshire Cosplay] Azur Lane Cheshire: A dreamy encounter with a white piano and blue roses

Preparing this Cheshire outfit from Azur Lane, my primary focus was balancing elegance with striking visual tension. The costume features a color clash of light and deep blue, retaining the classic Chinese mandarin collar and halter neck design while incorporating a teardrop-shaped keyhole cutout on the chest, edged with white lace and golden metallic fastenings. The sleeves are detachable bell sleeves; the outer layer is crafted from a shimmering deep-blue tulle, layered over light-blue ruffles for a voluminous, multi-tiered dimension. To complement this attire, I selected sheer over-the-knee Stockings trimmed with white lace borders, paired with off-white platform high heels that visually elongated my leg proportions. The headpieces consisted of blue-and-white floral ornaments and deep-blue satin ribbons—especially the long dangling tassel ribbons, which added fluid motion when moving. The silver-gray short wig featured subtle cyan-blue highlights on the inner strands and was paired with red contact lenses, with makeup heavily emphasizing the reddish blush around the eyes to give my gaze an enhanced, luminous intensity.

The shooting location was an all-white European-style interior, furnished with a white grand piano whose lid was strewn with blue roses and touches of pink blossoms. White statues and arches framed the background, with a crystal chandelier tucked in the corner. This expansive white backdrop wonderfully accentuated the blue palette of the costume. To highlight costume details, I also incorporated folding fans and round fans into my poses, their golden motifs echoing the gold accents on the outfit. The golden bells and tassels at the waist swayed gently with movement—though silent, they introduced a delicate, lively detail into the frame.

In the piano zone, the focus shifted to experimenting with varied body language. Sitting on the piano bench with relaxed, crossed legs or perching sideways along the edge of the keyboard with a hand resting softly on the keys. The white grand piano and black keys created a striking visual contrast, injecting strong structural rhythm into the composition. Because the skirt features a high side slit, sitting or lifting my leg naturally revealed the edges of the lace Stockings, which, paired with the ankle straps of the high heels, beautifully accentuated the lower body contours. The photographer's lighting was exceptionally crisp, casting soft shadows across the tulle and lace with exquisite texture. The entire session progressed smoothly, with seamless communication with the photographer, allowing us to lock in fitting angles swiftly with every change of scene and pose.

The pairing of the blue rose bouquets with the white piano on site offered a pristine, clean aesthetic. Because I wanted to convey a layered visual impact in this set, I avoided rigid standing poses, leaning instead into props and the environment through sitting, leaning, and reclining postures to articulate the garment tailoring and character mood. Seeing the final cuts, the color fidelity and translucent fabric textures matched my expectations perfectly, and the striking red eyes popped vividly against the white backdrop.
