During this Anime Convention Parade season, I tried out this Cheshire Cosplay Qipao cosplay styling. To be honest, this outfit has an overwhelming amount of details—from the black lace wide-brimmed hat on top of my head to the gold-thread knot buttons at the collar, and the gold embroidered patterns on the skirt hem, every part exudes a retro yet gorgeous aesthetic. What I love the most is the cat-ear-shaped staff prop; holding it in my hand instantly gave me that lively and cute atmosphere of the character.

Because it was a spring theme, I deliberately chose to shoot next to a semi-outdoor glass curtain wall. Natural light streamed through the glass onto me, making the deep navy blue of the skirt look exceptionally textured. Moreover, this high-slit design combined with the suspended Black tights outfit can wonderfully elongate the leg lines when walking or posing. Personally, I feel that the balance between elegance and a hint of sexiness was struck just right.

The convention site was actually very lively on that day. To capture clean shots, we found a relatively quiet corridor corner. Underfoot were rounded pebbles, behind us was transparent glass, and green plants were dotted around. The overall environment fit the serene temperament of this Qipao cosplay particularly well. I also tried several poses—standing straight while leaning on the staff, sitting on a low concrete platform, and slightly lifting one leg. In every photo, different details can be seen, such as the golden auspicious cloud textures on the plush shawl, and the strappy rhinestone high heels on my feet, all of which were specially matched.

The most interesting part of cosplay lies in immersion; the moment you put on the wig and change into colored contact lenses, it feels as if you've truly stepped into that world full of oceans and warships. This makeup and styling took us quite a bit of time, especially the coordination between the eye makeup and hair color; the silver-gray and cyan-blue gradient looked quite eye-catching under the sunlight. Although wearing high heels throughout the convention and shooting was indeed a bit tiring, seeing the dignified yet playful effect in the final photos made it all feel completely worth it.

The true meaning of participating in an Anime Convention Parade lies in being able to share this passion with fellow enthusiasts and present your favorite characters through your own understanding and methods. I am truly satisfied with this Qipao cosplay version of Cheshire Cosplay; not only is it comfortable to wear, but this blue-black-gold triple color combination has exceptional layering in front of the lens. I hope to try more styles of clothing in the future and continue having fun in the 2D world to my heart's content.
