This time, I cosplayed the bridal version of Cheshire from Azur Lane, setting the overall tone to a fresh and romantic European vintage style. The most eye-catching part of the styling is the massive white lace veil on the head and two white decorative flowers, clustered together to give off a fluffy, soft texture that perfectly fits the lively and slightly mysterious characteristics of the "Cheshire Cat." The short hair with a greyish-black base and blue-green highlights also greatly enhanced the character's recognizability.
The main garment is a light blue halter-neck lace dress. The neckline design is the true highlight: white lace piping paired with a blue rhinestone buckle right in the center preserves the dreamy bridal feel while beautifully displaying the collarbone lines. The tailoring fits the body snugly; the bust design accentuates curves, and paired with the cinched lower back, the overall visual appears exceptionally light and slender. The light blue puffy skirt and layered lace hem are full of airy volume.
To match this dress, the lower half is styled with translucent white pantyhose in a White thigh-highs outfit, subtly evening out the skin tone and making the leg lines look smoother and cleaner. In the photos, I paired it with white patent leather high heels as well as a barefoot look without shoes. Wearing the high heels gave an excellent sense of extension to the legs, shifting the demeanor toward poise and elegance; stepping barefoot onto the vintage carpet added a touch of languid nonchalance, allowing for a seamless transition between shooting moods.
The set design this time was fantastic: photographer "Jueshi Haomiao Photography" built a very classic European real-life studio set. The background features dark solid-wood bookcases, with a wooden easel on the left displaying an exquisite floral still-life oil painting. On the right, a white Roman-column planter is filled with pink roses and blue-and-white hydrangeas. This bright-toned, detail-rich studio set offers great immersion; whether it is the texture of the carpet or the subtle damask pattern of the European wallpaper on the wall, every element impeccably enhances the character's atmosphere in this Cosplay photoshoot.
The lighting on the day of the shoot was also handled comfortably, utilizing soft side-backlighting combined with frontal diffuse fill light, making the white lace veil and skin tone look translucent and natural, with soft tonal transitions and no harsh shadows. During the shoot, I experimented with several different states: the first sitting properly on the floor holding a flower bouquet toward the lens in an elegant, poised posture; the second sitting on a bench with legs crossed to showcase a more relaxed demeanor; and the third sitting cross-legged directly on the carpet with raised hands in a playful pose, amplifying the kitty's lively agility. Draping white tulle across the studio set along with abundant fresh flower props made it easy to immerse into the character's emotions, making this textured photoshoot experience thoroughly enjoyable.
