This set of Honkai: Star Rail Evanescia cosplay photos has finally been released, and the entire preparation and shooting process left a deep impression on me.

First, let's talk about the costume; this outfit has an incredible amount of details. The white shirt collar is tied with a red bowtie, the black pattern on the chest is restored using patch embroidery, and the outer white cropped jacket has very wide cuffs printed with golden patterns, giving it a substantial feel when worn. The lower body is a dark blue pleated skirt, paired with semi-sheer black stockings and black leather boots. The belt section is the most complex: the wide black belt is covered with metal badges, golden tassels, and red knots, with a pink bunny pendant pinned to the side of the waist. Putting on this costume required spending quite a bit of time adjusting the tightness of the belt and the positions of various accessories. Because the metal pieces are relatively heavy and prone to shifting when moving around, I kept making minute adjustments right before going on set.

The wig is bright pink short hair with trimmed layers, and the bunny ears accessory on top of the head is the focal point. The bunny ears consist of white and pink, with golden patterns on the inside. To make the bunny ears stand up and look energetic, some support was added inside. In terms of makeup, bright blue colored contacts were specially chosen, the eye makeup used a pink-toned base with deepened red at the outer corners of the eyes, paired with a rosy lip color to match the character's temperament. The gloves are black-and-white spliced half-finger styles, with thin red strings tied around the wrists, which are quite nice minor details. The black leg straps on the thighs, paired with floral decorations, echo the black short boots with buckles on the feet, outlining the leg lines very well.

In terms of props, there is a long weapon. The blade is white with pink and red lines along the edges, and the hilt is decorated with a pink bow and flowers. This sword provided many possibilities for posing during the shoot. Director David gave a lot of guidance on pose design. For example, in the first close-up, I needed to hold the sword high with both hands; this action not only required arm strength, but also required retracting the chin slightly while staring straight into the camera to keep facial expressions stable. Actually, holding it up for too long made my arms a bit sore.

The location was chosen as outdoor steps with white railings and gray architectural walls, offering ample lighting. When shooting standing poses, leaning my back against the railing, holding the sword with one hand pointing to the ground while posing with the other, required shifting my body's center of gravity slightly backward to better showcase the tailoring of the outfit and the visual effect of the legs in black stockings paired with short boots. To make the shape of the skirt look better, I had to constantly pay attention to pulling in my abdomen and puffing out my chest.

The sitting pose shot involves sitting on the steps with my back against the railing, holding the long sword in one hand and a cup of bubble tea in the other. Actually, that cup of bubble tea was bought to drink during breaks, but the director felt the state was very natural and casually captured a few candid shots. Because I was wearing a dark blue pleated skirt and black stockings, I had to pay special attention to the folding shape of the skirt when sitting down, smoothing it out slightly to avoid wrinkles. Although it was a relaxed posture, I still needed to keep my back straight and my legs extended forward to present better lines in front of the camera.

The most physically demanding part was undoubtedly that dynamic jumping shot. It required jumping supported by one leg while the other leg was lifted backward, holding the long sword horizontally in front of the chest with both hands. Due to wearing black chunky-heeled short boots, maintaining balance while jumping was very challenging. To capture the instant when the skirt fluttered and the blade reflected light, the same movement was repeated and tried several times. When jumping, I also had to keep my core tight and prevent my expression from breaking; by the time this action was finished, my legs felt a bit weak.

Overall, the color scheme of this outfit is dominated by white, blue, pink, and red, making it bright and very photogenic. Although wearing it is quite complex, seeing the results rendered through the lens makes all the preparation and hard work during the shoot completely worth it. I hope these photos allow everyone to feel the charm of the character.
