[Chun Bu Lian Cosplay] Under the Cherry Blossom Tree in NARAKA: BLADEPOINT, Time Seems to Stand Still

Shooting this Chun Bu Lian cosplay, the most difficult part to grapple with was actually how to express the character's sentiment of 'though the cherry blossoms bloom in full, one knows spring will not last long' through the lens. This outfit has so many details, especially the bow on the neck and the golden ornaments at the waist. The fabric uses lightweight white and light purple tulle, which has a very natural translucent feel under the sun. But the real challenge was those long golden fingernail guards; although they looked amazing in the photos, I had to control my hand movements very carefully when holding the umbrella or adjusting poses, fearing I might break the accessories. The wig is a gradient from silver-white to light purple, and the furry animal ears on top of the head add a lot of agility, but it also tests how well the hairstyle is secured. With the wind blowing under the outdoor cherry blossom trees, I had to touch up the hair strands with styling spray at any time. The shoot took place right during the full bloom season of cherry blossoms, and the sunlight filtering through the flower branches created a very natural soft-light effect. To recreate the character's mysterious aura, I tried several different compositions: close-ups capturing the gaze and fingernail details, and half-body shots combining the paper umbrella to showcase the charm of ancient style photography. Thanks to the photographer for patiently waiting for a while until the light became completely soft. Overall, this outdoor shoot experience gave me a deeper understanding of the character. Sometimes cosplay is not just about putting on an outfit, but about experiencing the world the character resides in. In this photo set, I tried to blend into the scene in my most natural state, hoping to convey that indifferent yet stunning feeling of 'Chun Bu Lian.'
