When studying in the classroom during finals week, my mind always wanders to other things, like putting on this outfit that has been hanging in my closet for a long time and taking some classroom photos in front of a real blackboard. This Lilliel cosplay makeup and styling really suit the classroom setting. The design from 2.5 Dimensional Seduction, which carries a school vibe mixed with angel costume elements, creates a fascinating cross-dimensional collision with the real-life wooden desks and chairs.

The most challenging part of this shoot wasn't actually the makeup, but the material and reflections of the outfit. As everyone knows, with this kind of patent leather material featuring a white base and bright pink patchwork, if the on-site lighting is even slightly harsh, the highlights can easily overexpose and wipe out all the details. Therefore, we deliberately used a soft, diffuse light source this time to preserve the smooth but non-glaring texture of the patent leather. As for the wings on my back, the white feather props actually take up quite a bit of space. To make them look like they naturally grew on my body instead of looking like a backpack, I made many adjustments to the shoulder strap fixations, applying several layers of double-sided tape and invisible buckles. Although taking them off after the shoot was a bit of a hassle, the final effect was quite full and three-dimensional.

Finding angles in a classroom environment is also quite fun. The words "Back to School Day" written in chalk on the blackboard along with those casual graffiti designs created a perfect sense of contrast. During the shoot, I walked around on the wooden floor in those pink platform shoes. It was slightly slippery, but because of that, I figured out some balance for my standing poses. For instance, the action in the first picture where I stand on a stool and point at the camera is quite eye-catching. To prevent the light from causing strange color casts on the pink hair accessories and yellow hair, the photographer specifically used a reflector to fill the facial light, making the skin tone look more natural and even.

Looking back at shooting this set of photos makes me quite sentimental. Initially, to go with this blonde twin-tail wig, I repeatedly trimmed the bangs several times so they could cover my hairline without blocking my eye makeup. The pair of small white wings on the hair accessories is also very clever; although small in size, fixing them at an angle that wouldn't flatten the hair required quite a few bobby pins. After the final photos came out, I hesitated during the selection process because the textures of the benches and wooden floor in the classroom photos were excellent. If the composition shifted slightly, the edges would easily get clipped. Ultimately, I chose the image with the character centered and a relaxed pose as the cover photo; the light hitting my body was just right, and the visual impact of the white and pink color scheme was powerful enough.

Squeezing in a full cosplay shoot like this during the break from finals revision can be considered a little treat for myself. Although balancing studying in the classroom with arranging a shooting schedule was indeed a bit hectic, being able to leave behind such a record of releasing dimensional vibes in a real classroom felt quite stress-relieving. If I have time later on, I could actually complement it with a night-scene version of the same style. I feel like the reflections on the classroom's glass windows at that time would give off a more cyber vibe.
