I chose Nicole Demara from Zenless Zone Zero for this photo shoot, and it took about two weeks from deciding on the character to actual preparation and execution. The biggest highlight of this outfit is the combination of techwear vibes and feminine cuteness.

The upper body features a white crop top printed with a specific black-and-white graphic, paired with a black leather cropped jacket with a dropped-shoulder design that looks sleek and cool without being overly bulky. The black ribbon and heart pendant at the neckline serve as great accents, breaking the monotony of the black-and-white color scheme. The bottom consists of black hot pants, styled with a leather belt and metal rivet buckles, giving off a rebellious street-girl aesthetic.

The leg styling is the centerpiece of this look. I went with an asymmetrical approach: the right leg wears black over-the-knee ripped stockings with a cut-out design—these irregular tears visually elongate the leg line—while the left leg is completely bare except for a black thigh ring with fluorescent rivets, finished with a pair of chunky black Martin boots. This single-sided stocking plus leg harness setup looks stunning on camera, maintaining a sporty feel while adding a touch of sexiness and edge.

As for props, the yellow-green bunny-eared plushie is an essential soul item. During the shoot, I slung it around my waist or interacted with it in hand. Its slightly goofy and quirky expression perfectly contrasts with Nicole's seemingly cocky yet genuinely reliable charm. Pinching the bunny ears while making playful expressions instantly maxed out the character's vibe.

For the background, we specifically chose a control room full of high-tech and Cyberpunk style. Behind me were several large monitors displaying radar-like or code interfaces. The cool cyan and blue lights falling on my face and hair, combined with the warm purple ambient lights, created an intense cyberpunk atmosphere. The red traffic cones on the floor, yellow-and-black hazard tape, and the green industrial drum all contributed to the feeling of being in an underground district or combat outpost. To give the lighting more texture, the photographer specifically adjusted dual-color-temperature lighting so the character could stand out amidst the cluttered high-tech environment.

In terms of posing, I tried a few different vibes. Making the signature peace sign was aimed at recreating Nicole's cheerful and confident energy while showcasing the crop top and leather sleeves. The sitting pose with a wink was meant to close the distance with the viewer and make the character feel livelier.

Ultimately, although doing this Nicole Demara cosplay was exhausting—styling the wig, adjusting accessories, and wearing a leather jacket in hot weather—seeing the final lighting and atmosphere made it all worthwhile. It wasn't just a simple cosplay; it was truly an immersive experience of stepping into New Eridu.
