Today outside the CICF convention venue, it was really cool, and the crowd traffic wasn't large either, making the overall convention-going experience very comfortable. Taking advantage of the great lighting, I quickly pulled the photographer teacher next to the greenery background to shoot this set of Kasugano Sora convention photos. The costume this time chose a relatively daily school style, an off-white long-sleeve shirt with brown plaid lapels, featuring a small shield-shaped badge on the chest, paired with a brown plaid pleated skirt and black semi-sheer stockings, along with that retro brown leather school bag, firmly establishing the accuracy of the overall styling.
In terms of the wig, to restore the character's features, I specially grabbed a strand of ahoge, pinned black bows on both sides, and styling the twintails took quite a bit of time, so that it wouldn't look messy due to the wind during outdoor shooting. On the makeup, the combination of the light golden wig and reddish-brown contact lenses was emphasized, with heavier blush to add a bit of 2D cuteness.
During the shoot, I tried several different postures. The kneeling head-touching and fist-clenching in picture 1 was to show a sense of innocence when first meeting someone. Later, when sitting on the ground for shooting, I found that the gesture of two fingers pointing at the collarbone was particularly suitable for showing the character's playfulness, matching slightly pouty lips and a slightly aggrieved look, making it easy to capture that soft and cute emotion. Actually, this outfit looks simple, but the shirt's lantern sleeves and the skirt's pleats needed continuous adjustment in front of the lens to ensure the lines were smooth enough. Shooting next to outdoor greenery, the light filtering through the leaves was relatively soft, producing translucent skin tones without complex fill-light equipment. The entire shooting process was very natural, without deliberately posing in overly sexy styles, instead highlighting the character's inherent quiet and cute, occasionally slightly aggrieved everyday vibe.
In expression management, I was constantly looking for a relaxed yet slightly helpless state, because the character's personality is relatively introverted. When sitting, adjusting the angle of the skirt hem and the reflectivity of the stockings was also to make the frame layers richer. Convention location shooting is often limited by venue and light, but today was very lucky—the green bushes in the background not only blocked the messy architectural lines, but also provided a very fresh color contrast. Thanks to the photographer teacher for patiently capturing these moments; meeting a compatible photographer at a convention is truly a lucky thing. The outdoor photo effect this time is very clean, without excessive filter modifications, preserving the true natural light feel. Next, I plan to rest a little bit and slowly finely retouch today's pictures.
