This Hatsune Miku official outfit shoot was chosen on a night-view rooftop in Qingdao, mainly aiming to present that urban feel interwoven with neon lights and cyberpunk. To keep the cyan twin tails with enough fluffiness in the night wind, it took a full two hours to groom the wig. The frizz at the hair ends needed to be passed through layer by layer with a straightener, and the wig roots were also specially styled and supported to ensure that no matter how the head was shaken, the center of gravity remained stable. In terms of the costume part, the upper garment of this Hatsune Miku official outfit is made of a silver glossy material, which easily produces reflections under artificial light at night, so the lighting angle needed to be constantly adjusted during shooting, cooperating with a softbox to restore the metallic texture of the clothes themselves. The cyan piping of the black pleated skirt happened to play a role of visual pop in the dark-toned background.

In terms of accessories, the head-mounted microphone and headphones were also the focus. The red and yellow square details of the headphones were very eye-catching in the night view, and to make it fit the head shape without crushing the wig, we could only use hairpins for hidden fixation at the hair roots. The red 01 logo on the arm was also repeatedly pasted twice to achieve the perfect edge effect. Although the black glossy long gloves had texture, their breathability was average, and they needed to be quickly taken off during shooting breaks to let the skin breathe.

Thanks to the photographer's cooperation, this set of official photos was able to be completed smoothly. We chose three main camera positions. The sitting pose with a look back in Picture 1 tested the shoulder and neck lines quite a bit, requiring the waist to be straight while naturally relaxing the shoulders, with the gaze following the lens to capture that slightly detached feeling. The single-leg side-extension, one-knee squatting posture in Picture 3 was actually very physically demanding, and maintaining balance on the concrete ground while wearing platform shoes was not easy. To elongate the leg lines and display the connection between the Black stockings and the skirt hem, I adjusted the direction of the knees and the straightened angle of the instep several times. The glossy skirt hem was prone to accidental exposure in a squatting position, requiring preventive measures in advance and relying on post-processing and adjustment of the clothes' hem to keep the frame clean.

The back view angles in Pictures 2 and 4 are actually my favorites, because they can completely bring the long hair and the city's building clusters into the frame together. The wind at night in Qingdao is very strong, and when it blows the cyan long hair, it adds a lot of dynamic aesthetic feeling, but it also easily makes the hair stick to the face or hit the headphones. At this time, styling spray must be used, and a rhythm must be counted mentally to let the photographer press the shutter at the exact moment the wind just blows the hair apart. The lighting for night shooting is complex, sometimes requiring distant neon signs as ambient light, combined with facial fill light, so that the cyan pupils remain clear and energetic in dark lighting environments.

As a coser who often does outdoor shoots, a high-rise rooftop at night is actually a very energy-consuming environment. The heavy wig, non-breathable gloves, and platform shoes stepping on uneven ground were all testing the concentration during the shoot. But when I stood in front of the railing overlooking the city and the lights turned on, it indeed gave birth to an illusion of traveling to another world. When the last photo was taken and the headphones and gloves were taken off, the whole person felt relaxed. Although this night shoot was hard, being able to combine Hatsune Miku's image with this vibrant city night view was a very rare experience, and I hope this set of photos lets everyone feel the unique atmosphere of the night view.
