[Liberalio cosplay] Goddess of Victory: Nikke Little Jellyfish At-Home Observation Diary

This shoot centered on Liberalio from Goddess of Victory: Nikke, with the theme set as an at-home observation diary. To evoke her signature blend of languid detachment and subtle menace, considerable thought went into the studio staging. Against a pure white backdrop, an off-white floor beanbag chair served as the central anchor, flanked by scattered English and Chinese newspapers, magazines, art books, a silver metallic desk lamp, red energy drink cans, and transparent water bottles, with discarded black patent leather pumps adding a striking visual accent.

For the wardrobe, I chose a design combining black lace and sheer tulle. The cropped black top featured strappy cutouts paired with finely textured black lace arm sleeves, while the bottom consisted of a multi-tiered ruffled black miniskirt layered under translucent black tulle that flowed gracefully with every motion and pose. Sheer black thigh-high stockings delivered a stark monochrome contrast against the backdrop. The wig was styled as a lilac-purple bob with straight bangs, accented by long black ribbons tied on both sides of the crown. Makeup intensified reddish flushes at the outer eye corners paired with crimson contact lenses to embody that enigmatic, slightly yandere edge.

The shooting process proved physically grueling. The first shot featured a reclining pose across the beanbag chair with legs raised and crossed; while appearing effortless, suspending the lower back to preserve clean lines across the legs and Black stockings was intensely demanding. The second shot was a crouch, biting a black ribbon with one hand holding the red soda can while reaching toward the lamp with the other. This posture required solid core engagement for equilibrium while maintaining piercing eye contact toward the lens. To capture the natural drape of hair and ribbons, the photographer had me hold this pose through multiple angle tweaks. The third photo was seated on the sofa cushion holding an open magazine over my head—a relatively relaxed pose, though keeping the frame tight meant crossing my legs firmly, with the black heels kicked off to one side to evoke a spontaneous pause at home.

I also focused heavily on prop interaction. The red beverage can created a vivid pop of color amidst the monochrome palette, while the scattered newspapers grounded the casual domestic theme and added depth to the floor. The intricate lace weave, the sheen of the Black stockings, and the light transmission through the tulle skirt were faithfully captured by the studio lighting. The session stayed relaxed, with everyone communicating continuously to refine prop placement and lighting angles to best convey costume textures and character mood.
