This styling for Herta is truly packed with details. The black-and-purple dress, accented with lace and lace-up straps, creates an exceptionally textured aesthetic when worn. To channel that mysterious magical scholar ambiance, I wore her iconic oversized, wide-brimmed witch hat—the white geometric patterns along the brim really draw the eye on camera. The staff in my hand actually carries significant heft, so finding the right angle for the purple geometric structure on top was crucial to keep it balanced securely without blocking facial expressions. The vintage grimoire featuring a city silhouette was another fantastic prop; holding it in my arms or casually flipping through its pages added rich storytelling to each shot.

The location was set in a vintage interior, where stained glass windows and dark wood furniture naturally exuded classical gothic elegance. We spent a long time dialing in the lighting with the photographer, relying primarily on cool-toned purple-and-blue light sources. Coupled with numerous luminous white butterflies added in post-production, the dreamy yet subtly dark mood was elevated to its fullest. Using a gold-trimmed mirror as a foreground frame was another clever touch—blurring the edges created an alluring, voyeuristic sense of depth.
