Visiting the hololive pop-up store at Bailian ZX Creative Center, I finally met an adorable Usada Pekora offline! Returning sunburned red from Hainan just in time to see Honghong felt like such a fun coincidence—though Tuesday at Uniqlo was probably even redder. While it was a pity missing the Captain on the 31st, being able to meet twice in one week was already deeply satisfying, and now I'm seriously counting down to Pekora's birthday party!

Turning to this cosplay itself, a tremendous amount of care went into the preparation stage to capture Usada Pekora's essence. The wig was styled in pastel blue, requiring painstaking attention to the twin braids—especially teasing out airy volume at the ends and securely anchoring the white plush pom-pom hair ties so nothing unraveled while walking or posing. The bunny ears on top served as a signature prop, internally reinforced with wire to stay perkily upright, paired with carrot hair ornaments on both sides to give the headpiece a full, dynamic silhouette.

For makeup, to honor the 2D anime aesthetic, the foundation had to be clean and translucent. The eye makeup was the focal point: sweeping a broad wash of pastel pink eyeshadow, paired with distinct aegyosal (tear bags) and light brown circle lenses, magnified the eyes' sweet allure. The eyelashes were dramatic yet separated cleanly root-by-root to avoid looking clumpy or heavy. The plush white neck scarf was another standout highlight, with its minimalist doodle expression adding a delightful dose of humor.

Costume-wise, the white-and-blue dress features brilliant structural design: blue cord knots and white pom-poms accent the waist, while a deep V-neckline layered over a black camisole introduces dimension and a hint of subtle visual appeal. The detached sleeves feature spherical blue accents on the upper arms that echo the polka dots along the hem. For the bottom, black shorts were paired with Black stockings; under the venue's illumination, the Black stockings smoothed leg lines beautifully while injecting a touch of maturity that grounded the top half's bubbly cuteness.

For posing, I mainly utilized the red-and-white heavy motorcycle on display as an interactive prop. The rugged industrial lines of the motorcycle created a striking contrast against the soft, cute bunny girl aesthetic. Perching on or leaning against the bike flattered leg lines and showcased the garment's tailoring. I was mindful of bodily curves in every pose—such as resting hands on hips or leaning slightly forward to accentuate the bust and waist contours. Navigating tricky convention lighting meant constantly finding optimal angles to avoid harsh overhead shadows, allowing the fabric's subtle sheen to catch the light cleanly. To suit different postures, I explored varied expressions—from cheeky winks to double-hand finger hearts—all to project the character's energetic spirit. This cosplay was not merely about recreating the wardrobe, but about channeling her spirited, slightly tsundere personality through styling, gestures, and expressive gazes.
