Currently organizing this set of photos of Diaochan's original skin. As a long-time player of this hero, I truly have a deep affection for her. The photos were taken in a rather messy backstage environment; due to space constraints, we shot directly with a direct flash, which unexpectedly highlighted the golden trim on the costume and the texture of the forehead ornament.
This time, I mainly wanted to challenge the classical and gorgeous demeanor of the original skin. Just working on the wig's ends and bangs took a long time, trying my best to match the curl and texture of the hairstyle itself. The three teardrop-shaped blue-green gems on the forehead ornament were very eye-catching, and paired with the ruby choker, gave the entire look a luminous glow. For makeup, I deliberately emphasized the contours of the eye makeup, using brown colored contacts and heavier eyeliner to better convey the focused intensity of my gaze under the flash. Natural shades were chosen for blush and lip color to avoid overpowering the look, keeping the visual focus on the golden headpiece and the metallic accents on the chest.
It is truly a faithful recreation of the original skin costume—mainly that strapless gown with a white base and pink patterns, paired with rigid golden pauldrons and translucent pink sleeves on the arms; the overall material and layering were crafted with great care. Wearing this outfit along with the intricate headpiece, I felt I had to keep my posture upright with every step to project that dignified elegance. The shooting angle was slightly from above, mainly to showcase the upper bodice and the luster of the golden jewelry. Although there were cardboard boxes, storage racks, and clutter in the background, suppressing the background with strong lighting actually brought the focus even more onto the subject.
Looking back at the photos, I feel they align well with my understanding of Diaochan—possessing both a dancer's grace and an effortless composure. As for the "15k" mentioned in the title, it likely refers to my hero power score; reaching this level of proficiency in the game is definitely not easy, serving as a testament to my passion. Cosplaying this character felt not only like an outward recreation, but more importantly, a reflection of my love for her intrinsic aura. I still have several other satisfying shots from different angles in reserve. Every attempt at a new character is a challenge, and I am grateful for my friends' help and adjustments during the shoot, allowing me to seize the perfect moments within a confined space.
