Putting on March 7th's blue-and-white color-blocked outfit and standing in front of the Honkai: Star Rail 3rd Anniversary offline photo spot, that feeling of becoming one with the character instantly came alive. The event setup was highly immersive, especially that giant Conductor Pom-Pom with its red-and-white uniform and soft plush texture, making it impossible not to lean in for a photo. Standing beside the model of the Astral Express, its black body trimmed with gold edges was replicated beautifully, providing a highly accurate outdoor shooting background for the whole set of photos. The light pink short hair took on a translucent glow under the natural light, and the see-through bangs and slightly curled ends perfectly matched the character's lively and agile temperament. To create better catchlights in the eyes, we paid special attention to using a reflector during the shoot, making the details of the eye makeup and the reddish-brown eye color look even brighter. The teal square camera at the waist and the black choker at the neckline are the genius strokes of this lightweight outfit; interacting with these small props while taking photos—like lifting the camera or resting a hand on it—makes the poses look much more vivid and natural. Sunlight filtered through the leaves in the scene, casting dappled shadows on the white-and-blue clothing. Together with the flowing motion of the wig as the wind blew past, we captured several quite narrative-driven candid moments. The tailoring of the costume fits my physique very well; the puffy cuffs and the waist straps provide detailed layers without feeling restrictive when striking various poses outdoors, making it perfect for walking around the venue to take photos. Poses like looking back over my shoulder, making a finger heart, or reaching out as if inviting a companion to walk forward were all captured just right through the lens, allowing one to feel March 7th's optimistic personality that longs to explore the universe. The interactive feel of this offline event and the layout of the venue really gave cosplay enthusiasts a lot of room to play around. As a result, the recorded photos basically retain the light and shadow texture of the original unedited shots, making the visuals clean and natural. These photos with the giant Pom-Pom and the Astral Express serve as a very visual memento for this special 3rd Anniversary.
