Serving as a croquis life model today gave me the perfect opportunity to test out Tsukatsuki Rio's Office outfit styling.

The wardrobe details are exceptionally rich. The tailored black blazer features a slim, fitted cut worn over a crisp white turtleneck, carving out a sharp, commanding silhouette against the whiteboard. Pairing a pleated skirt with black Stockings—a quintessential corporate pairing—feels both impeccably capable and singularly atmospheric on Rio. The glossy patent leather red-soled heels serve as the ultimate statement piece; despite the formidable heel height, they dramatically lengthen the leg lines whether standing or seated. The floating halo prop overhead showcases crisp black, white, and red geometric lines that introduce a futuristic sci-fi edge. The employee ID card hung across the chest grounds the look in corporate authenticity, with the lanyard and lettering referenced directly from official designs to ensure flawless immersion before the camera.

Working around a whiteboard and an executive office chair helped me slip effortlessly into the corporate mindset. To meet the practical demands of a croquis reference model, I focused on keeping my postures expansive and expressive—such as crossing my legs gracefully in the desk chair, resting one hand along the chair's backrest, or opening the opposite hand outward. These deliberate gestures make it far easier for illustrators to capture dynamic skeletal balance and garment drapery. Tugging lightly at the skirt hem showcased the layered depth of the pleats, adding subtle interactive movement to the frame. The lighting across the studio was clean and uniform, while the white backdrop ensured the body contours remained razor-sharp. Swiveling in the office chair required engaging my core to keep the legs and torso poised and elegant.

As drawing reference material, lighting, shadows, and postures are paramount. This series clearly articulates the tactile sheen of the Stockings and the sculptural curvature of the heels, making it ideal for artists practicing human anatomy and material rendering. For instance, the soft compression between the thighs and calves when seated, alongside the subtle stretching and creasing of the sheer black hosiery around the knees and ankles, offer fantastic structural cues. Slipping in and out of the heels and smoothing the stockings was undeniably taxing—prolonged static holding placed intense pressure on the balls of my feet—yet the resulting deliverables turned out impeccably.

Assembling this look prioritized textural contrast: the matte grain of the suiting, the bright white inner layer, the delicate translucency of the hosiery, and the high-gloss reflection of the patent heels. Layering these diverse materials yielded deep compositional richness. The floating headpiece was anchored into my long, straight black wig with specialized clips, adjusted through multiple angles until it aligned seamlessly with the silhouette. I hope illustrators draw abundant inspiration from these reference poses—exploring both static elegance and fluid motion made this session a deeply fulfilling creative endeavor.
