The hallways of this Abandoned school were blanketed in thick dust. To capture Hellish Blizzard's menacing yet deeply magnetic witch persona, we booked out the entire venue and spent an exhausting afternoon bringing this concept to life.
The core styling decision was swapping Blizzard's canonical green wavy bob for long, straight pale-blonde tresses. In a low-key, gritty setting like a derelict school, striking rim lighting in red and amber hues made the edges of each hair strand gleam with incredible tactile drama. To heighten the witch motif, I paired the look with oversized black spiral horns and pointed elf ears, anchored by a sheer black veil bearing an inverted cross insignia. The resulting clash between profane darkness and sacred iconography locked in the vibe immediately.
Wardrobe-wise, we customized the outfit: the top features a white structured corset overlaid with sheer black fabric, transitioning into a multi-tiered ruffled white mini skirt beneath a high-slit black robe. Finished with black lace garter stockings and chunky platform shoes, the silhouette remained sharp and agile, making wide, dynamic action poses possible. The crowning prop was the oversized cross staff embedded with an illuminated warm-toned LED strip down the center; swinging it through the murky darkness produced genuinely organic light trails. The dark floral bouquet with eye motifs held in the final shots carried noticeable weight, yet brought an undeniably surreal, chilling visual punch to the dark fantasy theme.
Shooting inside an Abandoned school meant confronting tricky illumination hurdles. With zero usable ambient sunlight, we relied entirely on red tungsten-style heads and haze machines to craft a murky, infernal ambiance. To give the stills a sense of motion, I attempted numerous leaps, pirouettes, and mid-air suspended lunges. Because the design combines a micro-skirt with an airy slit robe, the lightest twist sent the drapery billowing, teasing the contours of the legs in motion. Immense thanks to the photographer for catching those split-second bursts.
In the shot leaning across the abandoned desk, I leaned my torso aggressively toward the lens to accentuate body curves; the amber glow radiating from the staff spilled directly across my cheekbones, bringing out a perilous, seductive glint in my gaze. For the frame reclining on the dusty floor, arranging the pooling hem and sheer train in a flattering sprawl took several repositionings.
In post-production, shadows were intentionally crushed to amplify the clash of red, black, and white. Beyond standard witch archetypes, I wanted to inject my personal interpretation—framing the scene as though a sinister villainess from a grim fantasy tale were actively conjuring dark incantations. The sorceress concept was exhilarating to explore, and I definitely hope to tackle more unapologetically wicked, provocative styles like this down the road.
