This is a photo return from the Guangzhou Anime Convention, mainly sharing the duo cosplay photoshoot of Komeiji Koishi cosplay and Komeiji Satori cosplay from Touhou Project. I cosplayed Komeiji Koishi, featuring short pink hair paired with a blue jacquard-pattern top and a pink multilayer ruffled skirt, with the red eye prop on the chest connected to orange cords that took a lot of effort to route and secure. My partner cosplayed Komeiji Satori, sporting green hair, a black hat, a yellow top with a green skirt, Black stockings on the lower half, and blue vines tied around the ankles. We found a large glass window where the backlighting effect was wonderful, though prone to overexposure, so we specifically adjusted camera parameters and used reflectors for fill light during shooting. We coordinated several poses, including sitting on the floor poking cheeks, standing hand-in-hand looking into each other's eyes, and the final shot sitting by the glass where I gave her a lap pillow, which showcased her legs in Black stockings and the layers of the skirt hem perfectly. This costume features numerous layers of lace, especially on the hat and voluminous sleeves; although quite heavy to wear, the texture brought out by the light was very satisfying. For hair and makeup, we used pink and red colored contacts with blue gem stickers below the eyes, emphasizing elongated outer eye corners to preserve crisp details under convention camera lenses. Having pre-coordinated our positioning with my partner, the shoot went very smoothly. Sharing the process behind this photoshoot.
