[Kochiya Aoi cosplay] Wind Priestess of Moriya Shrine and the Wooden Bell

This shoot features the styling of Kochiya Aoi cosplay, focusing on restoring the warmth and sense of sacredness unique to her role as the Wind Priestess of Moriya Shrine. The overall coordination is inspired by classic settings in Touhou Project, with the iconic bell prop in hand serving as the focal point of the image.

First, let's talk about the wig styling. This green hair, blue eyes look features a green straight hairstyle with straight bangs, which demands high precision in layering. When styling, I deliberately controlled the smoothness of hair strands, trimming bangs into light wispy bangs to preserve youthful innocence without looking overly heavy. The plush accessory on top combined with green hair ornaments gives the hair a warm luster under the light. Paired with bright blue contact lenses, eye makeup contours were rendered softly to ensure a clean, translucent base so my gaze could better communicate with the lens.

Next is the restoration of outfit details. This costume selected a white base shirt adorned with delicate lace and embroidered textures, with blue-green gradient totem fabric strips around the neck perfectly echoing the hair color. The biggest highlight is undoubtedly the silver metal tassel collar across the chest, embedded with several striking green gems. Combined with the cool metallic feel and dangling tassels, it creates a unique visual effect when walking. Off-the-shoulder light blue cuffs also featured multi-layered lace edging, connecting the top's outfit layers beautifully.

As for props, this wooden multi-tiered bell rack in my hand was custom-made. Hanging golden copper bells make a crisp sound when moved or raised high. Combined with orange-red-white tassel cords dangling at the bottom, holding it brings a solid sense of weight, preventing awkwardness during shooting. This fusion of tactile feel and visual appeal helped me immerse into character much faster.

The location was chosen in an indoor wooden cabin setting filled with natural wood grain, matching the faint Japanese style and Gensokyo natural atmosphere of Touhou Project wonderfully. I selected a front-facing selfie angle, capturing the moment of looking directly into the lens. Facial expressions were kept relaxed without dramatic acting, focusing on highlighting the Wind Priestess's serene and peaceful inner state, as if gazing into the distance among mountains. From wig styling, costume texture, and prop matching to light and shadow atmosphere, this Anime cosplay work tried to stay close to character lore—a deeply immersive styling experience and creative journey, hoping to capture a slice of this character's spiritual charm.
