[Firefly cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail Onee-san Custom Design Cosplay, the Killer Aura of a Cold Angel

This custom design cosplay of Firefly takes the Onee-san route. Compared to the girlish vibe of the original setting, I tried injecting some detachment and killer aura into the styling to create a completely different visual style. First is the makeup and styling part. To highlight the sharpness of the gaze, I intentionally deepened the color contrast in the eye makeup, wore purplish-blue contact lenses, and did a large-area smudging at ger outer corners of the eyes, paired with heavier blush to create a cold yet gorgeous atmosphere. The wig uses long curly hair transitioning from silver-white to ice-blue, with complex circular braiding done on top of the head, which not only increased the crown height but also made the overall hairstyle look more exquisite. Tiny glitter powder was sprinkled among the hair strands, creating a dreamy shattered feeling under the refraction of indoor lighting. The black-and-green color-blocked headband worn on the forehead and the iconic leaf decoration retain the character's original elements, but changed to a more mature design. A white halo floats above the head, with white wing props on both sides, presenting an overall style of a sacred angel. The costume is a white lace dress, and the off-the-shoulder design showcases the shoulder and neck lines. The lace ruffles on the collar and cuffs are very intricate, with pearl buttons dotted on the chest, and handmade lace-and-pearl bows matched on the wrists. During the shoot, I held a bouquet made of white roses and greenery, a prop that made the frame less monotonous and more narrative. For the first picture, I chose a chin-resting posture, with fingers gently pressing against the chin, and eyes staring straight into the lens, trying to convey a noble, cold, and gorgeous sense of oppression, which is also the killer aura mentioned in the post description. The second picture tilts the head slightly, turning the body a bit sideways to display the bouquet and the overall costume more completely. The durability of the makeup performed very well under indoor lighting; the color rendering of the blush was just right, not appearing too exaggerated on camera. Overall, this custom design version of Firefly, on the basis of retaining the original elements, leans more towards the cold and detached feeling of a mature woman. Managing the wig takes quite a bit of time, especially the layers of the gradient color, which require repeated adjustments of direction with a straightener and holding the arc with styling spray. The lace details of the costume also need to be carefully arranged before the shoot to avoid wrinkles affecting the visual. The photographic lighting also tries to choose soft side lighting to highlight the facial contours and the gloss of the hair strands. I hope this styling can bring a different visual experience.
