From the very early prep stages for Ririko Futamihara's uniform and green cardigan set, the goal was to capture that authentic slice-of-life daily feel as closely as possible. It took a long time to settle on this muted reddish-brown wig. After trimming the straight bangs, I clipped on the horizontal bobby pin to flatter my face shape while matching the character's slightly casual, unbothered demeanor. The collar of the white button-up shirt was crisp enough to hold its form with the red ribbon tie without collapsing, and the loose light-green cardigan was the core piece of the look—it needed a relaxed fit to convey that effortless, laid-back vibe.

The shooting schedule was packed on the day. Our first spot was in a restroom area where marble floors and recessed wall niches unexpectedly lent a cool-toned, atmospheric backdrop. Sitting on a round metal stool with crossed legs and holding a tablet to partially obscure my face kept the visual focus on the hair clips and the school uniform. With its centered composition and the leg line created by the skirt hem, white stockings, and sneakers, the resulting shot carries strong visual tension. We then moved to the studio, where white walls and wooden step ladders introduced a touch of industrial style. To add an extra highlight, I draped a red sash with yellow lettering across my shoulder. Posing with hands on hips may look simple, but keeping the back straight and shoulders relaxed was crucial to pulling off that confident, subtle smirk.

Finally, we took some Polaroids in a classroom setting, where the green chalkboard and chalk drawings brought the whole series to a warm, school-day close. In the context of a Galgame, character depth isn't limited to a single storyline, and Ririko stands out as many fans' favorite route in Spotlight lemon jam precisely because her character arc is so richly textured. To evoke a more natural everyday atmosphere, I adopted a minimalistic approach to posing. Without elaborate props, I relied primarily on standing and seated adjustments to showcase garment details. For example, pairing white stockings with sneakers might look like a simple design in the original art, but in reality, the sock fabric and sneaker silhouette greatly affect the visual balance. Transitioning between indoor and outdoor ambient lighting also tested the wig's surface sheen. While lighting is notoriously tricky to manage on instant film, the Polaroid's saturation ended up lending a wonderfully nostalgic tone.

Although it took endless adjustments to the outfit and wig alignment throughout the shoot, seeing the final outcome made all the trial and error completely worthwhile.
