When shooting this set of Hina photos, it happened to coincide with the Guangzhou Firefly ACG Expo. The venue was bustling with crowds and quite noisy, but this contrast highlighted the character's adorable gap-moe trait of sneaking a break amidst busy official duties. Just as mentioned in the post description, right up until Hina becomes an absolute sweetheart, the core aim of this shoot was to showcase the hidden sweetness and gentleness beneath her stern Disciplinary Committee Head exterior.

Preparing this costume required immense attention to detail. Beyond conditioning and styling the long silver hair to prevent static, the most eye-catching piece was definitely the circular headpiece with purple spike elements atop her head. To keep it securely fastened, we used a double reinforcement with an internal headband and bobby pins—after all, with big movements at the comic convention, we couldn't let the hair turn into a messy 'bird's nest'. The large black hair bow on the side and red barrette hair clips complemented the wig styling, recreating the cute, layered blunt bangs.

For the maid dress portion, I particularly loved the red heart emblem on the chest and the purple bow tie. Black and white color schemes naturally look crisp and neat, and adding purple and red accessories pulled the visual focus straight to the neckline, creating a strong uniform look. Of course, as the main attraction of this costume, the giant purple wings on my back required multiple adjustments to achieve the final effect. The fabric support was well-crafted, and the yellow serrated edges at the tips gave the wings organic, creature-like traits. Rather than feeling heavy, they fluttered gracefully in the wind as I ran and turned, adding wonderful dynamism.

On that day, the photographer and I specifically selected a venue corner featuring escalators, glass railings, and wide support pillars, utilizing the large expanse of gray floor and ceiling lights to create a crisp, open feel. Particularly in the photo where I knelt on one knee, I intentionally spread out the skirt's frills, pairing them with Purple tights and dark purple wings to create an expanded inverted triangle composition for the silhouette. In another shot where I raised both arms in a flexing 'show off muscle' pose, I was thinking about how Hina works hard usually but still has these cute self-soothing moments—and the resulting photo turned out surprisingly fun.

Honestly speaking, wearing this Sorasaki Hina cosplay at the convention was quite a physical test; the giant purple wings and heavy wig demanded constant balance control while walking. However, every time fellow fans recognized Sorasaki Hina from Blue Archive and nodded or complimented the look, all the exhaustion felt completely worthwhile. The Anime cosplay atmosphere at the event gave me plenty of inspiration, and working with the photographer, we easily found the right gazes and body movements for the character. I feel this photo set turned out very complete, meeting my expectations from costume and makeup to scene integration. Presenting this Hina—stern usually yet subtly adorable—makes me genuinely happy. Rather than plain poses, I prefer these living, candid convention snapshots that make it feel as if the character truly crossed over into our reality.
