After receiving this Feixiao costume, I actually made quite a few fine adjustments. The blue sections of the original design feature intricate damask jacquard textures, and the fabric catches the studio lights with a subtle reflective sheen. The asymmetrical cuts and cutouts on the top demand a precise anatomical fit, so I held multiple test-fitting sessions beforehand, reinforcing edges with wardrobe tape to ensure the silhouette held together even under dynamic action. The golden embroidery across the shoulders and the pristine white mantle serve as the visual centerpiece of the ensemble; I carefully pressed every seam with an iron. Styling the wig required equal dedication: to achieve that voluminous yet wind-whipped texture, I used styling wax and strong-hold hairspray to lift the roots. The ombré blue transition at the hair ends was worked in by hand using colored hair pomade, demanding patient combing to avoid clumping.

For props, I prepared a textured matte black wine flagon and ceramic sake cups, along with fresh bamboo cuttings purchased specifically to pair with a Chinese calligraphy scroll backdrop, forging an immersive classical aesthetic. During the shoot, our lighting technician keyed the scene with a cool blue master light, instantly pulling out a crisp, cool-toned textural edge. In terms of posing, I strove to channel the character's unyielding, uninhibited authority. For instance, half-kneeling on the floor holding a cup with one hand while letting the other arm drape naturally, or propping one leg high up onto a wooden stool; these stances required intense core engagement while minding the drape of the skirt so the thigh straps and tall boots remained on full display. Capturing the flowing silver tresses was an exacting game of timing that relied on continuous high-speed burst shots. For the glance back over the shoulder, dropping the shoulders and subtly arching the spine ensured a fluid, elegant back contour. The entire shoot was physically demanding, yet seeing the finished selects made every bit of stamina spent worth it. This series primarily aims to celebrate garment craftsmanship and kinetic character beauty; I hope everyone appreciates this style.
