This shoot features Honkai: Star Rail Feixiao cosplay, and looking through the resulting shots, the overall outcome turned out well aligned with expectations. A key focus is the product used here—the NKMAXCON medical-grade Elf blue contact lenses mentioned in the description. The contact lenses boast high color saturation and a relatively large diameter, which is key to achieving that 2D anime elf-like look. Comfort was decent; after rinsing with professional contact solution, there wasn't noticeable dryness, though resting your eyes during extended shoots remains essential.
As for the Animal ears makeup and styling, the white wig was custom-trimmed with distinct layering. The fluffy animal ears on top contain internal aluminum wires so the angles can be adjusted manually; securing them was rather tricky, requiring invisible hairnets and layers of hairspray—styling took about an hour just to ensure they wouldn't slip off during shooting. The outfit consists of a blue-and-white sleeveless halter top. The silver metallic pattern accessories on the chest along with red tassels and pendant tails offer great texture and noticeable weight, leaving slight marks on the shoulders after wearing them for a long time. The outfit cut accentuates body curves nicely; being sleeveless, it demands clean arm lines, so proper hair removal and skin prep on the neck, shoulders, and arms were essential beforehand.
During Cosplay photography, lighting was primarily utilized to highlight the translucent clarity of the contact lenses and the blue hair strand transitions along the wig edges. Facial makeup focused on the eyes, using larger eyelid tapes and elongated false eyelashes paired with reddish-brown eyeshadow blended across the lower eyelids to make the eyes appear rounder and larger on camera. For the base makeup, a fairer foundation was applied and smoothed during retouching to achieve a porcelain-like skin texture. The eyebrows were drawn into slender sword-shaped brows, paired with the teardrop forehead ornament to fit the character setting closely.
Preparing this look took significant time. Although dressing up was intricate—especially keeping the headpieces and chest tassels from tangling—the controlled indoor lighting gave the whole photo set fantastic lighting texture. The half-body compositions in particular harmonized the blue-and-white color scheme with the red accents beautifully. Without stockings and wearing a halter top, the visual focus naturally fell on the chest and neck jewelry, directly highlighting body curves.
