[Cyrene Cosplay] When the Rice Fields of Amphoreus Ripen - Image 1

The rice fields of Amphoreus must be ripening by now. Looking at this set of feature photos, my mind is still filled with that golden hue. This Honkai: Star Rail Cyrene cosplay shoot was truly a dual test of physical strength and patience. First, regarding the hair that everyone cares about the most—it was literally hand-sculpted strand by strand by me. To restore that lightweight yet layered pink effect, the wig underwent extensive trimming and teasing after I received it, styled layer by layer. My hands were sore for days afterward. But seeing the natural feel of the wind blowing through the hair, I truly felt it was all worth it.
A lot of thought also went into the costume part. The purple fabric paired with deep blue hard edges carrying a metallic texture, along with black straps and piping, required careful management of every single detail. Especially the rigid shoulder decorations needed to conform to the body curves while ensuring a three-dimensional reflective effect in front of the lens, requiring repeated position adjustments when wearing it. The prop book I held in my hand was also custom-made; the cover color matches the overall costume palette exceptionally well. As for the golden curved horn hair accessory on my head, to secure it firmly, I added invisible bobby pins on the inside, and it didn't shift much throughout the entire day.
The shooting environment that day can be described as painful yet happy. We waded through patches of very tall grass, and to find the best angles for lighting and background, I ended up covered in scratches from the leaves. My arms and legs were full of red marks; the edges of the grass leaves were much sharper than imagined. Plus, there were quite a few small bugs in the grass, so we frequently had to stop during the shoot to shake out our clothes. But the natural light that day was simply too perfect; the strong contrast of light and shadow created when the sunlight hit the body made both the costume texture and wig color look exceptionally textured. The photographer is-Xiao (绡) is really good at guiding emotions and captured many of my naturally revealed moments.
To accommodate this sideways glancing-back posture, my neck actually got quite tired. The hand I extended, besides adding a sense of interaction to the frame, also guided the viewer's gaze. Staring straight into the lens, paired with blue contact lenses, I wanted to convey a sense of aloofness mixed with a hint of invitation. The depth of field in the frame blurred the foreground and background, concentrating all focus on the face—a compositional effect we specifically communicated and aimed for during the shoot. Overall, this Cyrene shoot encountered many unexpected situations in an outdoor environment, but the final visual texture and light-and-shadow atmosphere met our anticipated vision, making it a very fulfilling creative experience.
