When designing this themed shoot for Misaki cosplay, the primary entry point was the combination of her Chinese apparel and the modern interior setting. The dark blue qipao not only outlined the body silhouette but also resonated with the calm side of the character's personality. Choosing to lay a white plush blanket on the platform to contrast with the dark furniture was meant to highlight the visual focus of the main subject, preventing it from being swallowed by the background.

During the shoot, we mainly explored how to use body language to express the character's state of 'being under the weather.' Several sets of leaning or reclining postures were adopted, using hand movements to increase the sense of extension in the frame, simulating an aura interwoven with slight laziness and defensiveness. For the overall treatment of light and shadow, warm-toned lanterns were deliberately chosen as the main light source to neutralize the color temperature. Allowing the cool-toned clothing and warm-toned light to collide brought out the depth of the entire Chinese-style room.

During post-processing, we encountered a minor challenge. To ensure safety and prevent exposure during the shoot, safety shorts were normally worn underneath, but the character's original design basically lacks such concealing elements. After communicating with the photographer for a long time, we ultimately decided to completely erase the traces of the safety shorts to restore the character's original design lines. This process required extreme meticulousness while trying to avoid damaging the texture of the clothing itself, striving for a natural look.

In terms of expression and eye makeup, we focused on capturing the character's unique calmness and a touch of mystery. Without exaggerated emotional expressions, the depth of the character's personality was instead supported through subtle gaze directions and shoulder-neck postures. The furniture arrangement, the props in hand, and even the blanket on the floor were all specifically placed around shaping this image of Misaki with classical Chinese overtones. Presenting this sense of narrative within stillness to everyone serves as a summary of my own restoration and understanding of the character in this Anime-style photography project.
