[Kasumizawa Miyu Cosplay] RABBIT Squad Sniper from Blue Archive Spotted

This set of photos recreates the character Kasumizawa Miyu from Blue Archive, complete with a white bunny prop and the iconic trash can for the shoot. The outfit features the classic blue sailor uniform with a green bowtie, paired with black knee pads and White stockings—blending everyday realism with tactical combat elements. The white prop rifle was quite long and made my arms sore after holding it for a while, so when standing, I used the trash can for support to keep the poses looking natural and effortless. To make the blue uniform and long purple hair stand out against the pure white background, lighting and post-processing adjustments were crucial. In particular, the White stockings had to retain their translucent texture without appearing bulky due to light reflections. During the shoot, sitting on the floor felt the most relaxed and best accentuated the body lines. Meanwhile, carefully styling the red colored contacts and long straight purple hair helped better showcase the character's unique gaze and temperament.

Before every shoot, I spend a lot of time on hair and makeup prep, such as trimming and styling the wig and smoothing out fabric creases, striving to stay as faithful to the character as possible. The sniper rifle prop used this time was quite heavy, requiring constant attention to center of gravity when posing to avoid looking unnatural. Miyu is a character with a wonderful contrast—looking distant and timid on the surface, but adorably clumsy at heart—so I adjusted the intensity of my gaze and movements to bring out this endearing gap. Although the set background was simple, the prop details were crafted with great care, like the weapon emblem on the trash can, which added a perfect finishing touch. In post-processing, focus was placed on smoothing shadows across the White stockings to ensure seamless leg contours, making the figure pop three-dimensionally against the clean background. Trying out both barefoot and sneaker variations also conveyed different idle states: being barefoot felt more relaxed and natural, while wearing sneakers brought an immediate sense of combat readiness. The length of the sailor skirt was just right to display well-proportioned legs, which is an essential character trait. Through thorough preparation and communication, I gained a deeper appreciation of how to balance combat coolness with 2D cuteness. This shoot took a lot of effort, and I hope it brings everyone a high-fidelity portrayal of the character.
