Bringing Feixiao to life in this shoot was an absolute thrill. The tailoring of the entire ensemble faithfully mirrors the original design: the sleeveless, high-collared blue tunic blends traditional elegance with the freedom needed for expansive martial movement, while the backless cut and intricate waist strappings took substantial trial and error to fit flawlessly. To capture that fierce, windblown dynamism in the long white mane and animal ears, generous amounts of hairspray and freeze spray were applied, creating a truly sensational sweep in motion. The tips of the wig transition into a subtle teal-cyan gradient that flows seamlessly under natural light, preserving vibrant dimension without looking stiff.

The weaponry was undeniably the most labor-intensive component. This colossal battleaxe features illuminated elements and custom surface airbrushing, with an engineered internal frame to lighten the weight so it could be wielded smoothly single- or double-handed. Enhanced by post-production cyan-blue lightning VFX, swinging it genuinely conveyed an intense, space-rending surge of martial energy.
