For this shoot of Robin's Clear Song skin, I chose to shoot by the poolside, mainly to recreate the freshest summer-swimsuit atmosphere, so a lot of thought went into the preliminary preparations. When custom-making this outfit, I paid special attention to the texture of the material; the blue and white color-blocked swimsuit paired with glossy blue piping produces a great reflective effect under strong light. To increase the richness of the overall styling, I also specially decorated the waist with sunflowers and other flowers, which not only echoes the summer theme but also makes the color contrast of the image more vivid. Regarding the wig and props, Robin's iconic light purple hair paired with feather decorations took me a long time to adjust in front of the mirror, striving to make the direction of the hair strands and the curve of the feathers look more natural and dynamic. The floating metal halo on top of the head is actually fixed to the hair with very thin transparent fishing line; by finding just the right angle in front of the camera, it presents a natural floating effect. In terms of makeup, in addition to the bright blue contact lenses that restore the character's features, I especially emphasized the reddish-pink shading at the corners of the eyes, hoping to convey the character's gentle yet slightly playful gaze through the lens, paired with a pearl necklace and sheer straps to increase the overall refinement.
The sunlight conditions on the day of the shoot were fantastic, and the sparkling water surface of the swimming pool directly acted as a natural reflector, casting clear and translucent light and shadow on my face and body. I sat on a white beach chair, with my bare feet gently playing with the water surface. For the sake of the visual effect, I tried to maintain a relaxed and stretched posture. To make the leg lines look more slender on camera, I tried a crossed-leg sitting pose, while using the light blue sheer straps on my arms and the drooping pearl bracelet to guide the line of sight. When light passes through the sheer straps, it creates a hazy visual effect, which is one of the reasons I chose this accessory, adding a touch of sensuality in the details. The slightly high-angle overhead shot in the second photo is the one I think has the best expression; it not only shows the layering of the swimsuit, but the elongation of the legs is also just right. During the shoot, I also tried different hand movements, such as naturally crossing them on my legs or gently touching my hair, making the picture look less rigid.
During post-processing, I tried to retain the clear and translucent feel of the skin tone and water color, without applying overly exaggerated filter toning—I just wanted that authentic, refreshing summer vibe. The completion rate of this shoot is quite high, and the compatibility between the scene and the costume perfectly met my expected effect, capturing almost all the spiritual charm of this swimsuit set.
