This time, I tried Hiyuki's shrine maiden look. The overall outfit focuses on a red and white color scheme, and combined with her iconic silver twin tails and red eyes, it has a strong visual impact. The detail restoration of the costume is very high, especially the cherry blossom patterns at the cuffs and the knot decorations at the waist, as well as that blade—the paintwork and scabbard textures were all processed with great care. Before the shoot, I specifically adjusted the holding posture of the prop, wanting to make the frame look both soft like a shrine maiden and valiant like a warrior. For the backdrop, we chose Japanese style screens and paper umbrellas, which, combined with warm-toned lighting, pushed the sense of atmosphere to the max. This styling is exceptionally photogenic, and the photographer provided a lot of help with light and shadow control, especially the rim light hitting the hair and fabric, making the character more three-dimensional. Although the shooting process was tough, carrying a long blade while maintaining postures, seeing the final photos made it feel entirely worth it. I hope these details and the makeup/hair styling can restore the Hiyuki in everyone's hearts.
