Hiyuki's second form paired with this artificial snowscape yields a final photo effect that matches the color tones of the outfit even better than expected. To restore this character, the costume material utilizes blue tulle with glittering fine textures, and the lining was lightened to make it convenient to pose flexibly on the snow and wooden platforms. The makeup focuses on strengthening the contours of the eyeshadow and the gray layers of the silver wig, with light blue colored contacts close to the original color chosen for the pupils to let the gaze convey a cool detachment.
The prop longsword underwent a matte spray anti-reflection treatment before shooting, ensuring that the blade would not produce excessive flare under intense light, preserving the metal's original smooth texture within the snowscape. During the shoot, I repeatedly confirmed different camera positions with the photographer, experimenting with three compositions: lying, sitting, and standing with a drawn sword. The density of the post-processed composite snowflakes needed to precisely correspond to the spacing between the calligraphy screen and the flower branches in the scene to ensure a unified cool-toned visual effect.
Fine ribbons in the same color scheme as the costume were tied around the ankles. This structure not only enriches the details of the exposed skin area but also allows the legs to present a natural extension when in a squatting pose. The adjacent wooden screen, paper lanterns, and high-reflection mirror surface on the ground simulated an environmental encapsulation fit for a martial arts character. Enhanced by the cool light source of the snowscape, the lighting did not experience color-fading issues, and the blue-and-white transition of the tulle skirt presented a solid texture under the mixed flash.
The difference between the two forms is reflected in the replacement of the hairpin and the straps of the cape. This styling reduces gold and silver ornaments, instead accentuating with a white flower hairpin and blue tassels. During the shoot, transparent thick-soled open-toe high heels were also paired to extend the visual length of the legs, with the soles almost vanishing into the background under the reflection of the snow shadows. The wooden lattice windows and crane elements blend the figure into a serene Chinese courtyard background, offering a completely different composition with every change in pose for this piece of Cosplay photography and Snowscape photography.
