Preparing for this Wuthering Waves Aemeath photoshoot took a considerable amount of time, especially with the intricate costume and prop details of the white bodysuit. To align with the character design, a long pink wig was chosen, showing rich layers under the lights. The white leather fabric is prone to creasing, requiring extra care during wear, and the metallic accessories on the neckline and chest were repeatedly polished and repositioned to ensure a snug fit. Night photography was the biggest challenge this time; the ambient lighting was complex, requiring continuous fill-light adjustments from the front and sides to make the golden contact lenses and eye makeup appear more translucent on camera. The background bokeh worked beautifully, with the night street's neon colors complementing the character's palette to create a captivating atmosphere. The props were completed with the help of friends, especially the blue armillary sphere component, which felt quite weighty in hand and required multiple coats of spray paint to recreate its texture.
The temperature was very low on the day of the shoot. Standing in the wind for a long time in a thin white bodysuit left my hands freezing, but seeing the final images made everything worthwhile. "2D is the magic of reality"—I felt the profound truth of this saying during this shoot. While magic doesn't exist in reality, through dedicated lighting, meticulous styling, and thoughtful composition, we can genuinely bring a fragment of that world to life in photographs. Dedicating this set to "you in the snow" stems from our search for the perfect location—specifically seeking out a spot with neon lights and damp, reflective pavement, where the crisp, cool atmosphere perfectly matched the character's temperament. The shooting process was a continuous cycle of adjustments; balancing the weight of the props while maintaining an elegant posture was a true test of core strength. Shooting in an open environment also drew passersby, requiring me to overcome camera jitters. Post-processing didn't alter anatomical proportions, focusing instead on fine-tuning the cool-toned ambiance to maintain visual balance. Cosplaying a character always brings a deeper understanding of them; every accessory is a piece of that understanding. I put my heart into capturing her gaze and state of mind, hoping everyone can feel the character's charm and the dedication behind this shoot.
