Today was Day 2 of Firefly ACG Expo, and I finally got around to capturing a solid set of Event photo delivery for this Hiyuki outfit. The crowd on D2 was massive; the outdoor areas were packed shoulder-to-shoulder with photographers and cosplayers queuing up for shots, making it quite a feat to secure a few prime spots in such a bustling environment. While this costume boasts remarkable fidelity, it also demands an elaborate wearing process. The deep-V plunge of the white top required numerous wardrobe tapes to prevent slips, while the sheer gauze and floral shoulder trims tended to shift during movement. The black leather corset around the waist looks incredibly sharp with its gold Y-shaped buckles and metal zippers, but cinching it down meant breathing took deliberate technique, making walking around the halls genuinely exhausting. Although the crimson skirt trails to the ground, the high side slit neatly reveals the White silk thigh garter, peeking out subtly with every stride to inject an alluring edge.

For the wig, I went with long, straight silver-white hair styled with blunt bangs, tying up the crown section with a red-and-white ribbon bow. To keep the hairstyle intact, I carried a pocket comb and hairspray everywhere, as outdoor gusts could easily toss long locks into disarray. Crimson colored contacts paired with bold red lip makeup demanded a razor-sharp, piercing gaze before the lens—a stark contrast to my everyday demeanor. The photographer continually guided my eye line across various angles throughout the shoot. The signature prop was a red-and-black katana adorned with golden scrollwork, featuring superb tactile finishes across the scabbard and hilt.

The first shot captures a combat-ready stance leaning forward with the blade drawn, requiring core stability to anchor my center of gravity while keeping the chest detailing unobstructed. The second frame features the katana raised high in one hand; to make the blade's edge gleam vividly, the photographer brought in cool-toned fill lights to evoke an authentic combat aura. The third shot is a standing pose with the blade under the night sky, framed by illuminated high-rises in the background, requiring me to hold motionless to match the lighting cadence. Freestyle shooting offers creative freedom, yet demands self-navigated route planning and location scouting. The photographer and I paced outside the expo halls multiple times, experimenting with backlighting, side lighting, and nighttime ambiances. After every pose, we smoothed the skirt hem and reset the belt to ensure flawless visual presentation. Hearing fellow convention attendees recognize the character and exchange friendly greetings made for a wonderful atmosphere. From initial prep to final images—sourcing fabrics, makeup tests, scouting, and shooting—every stage consumed immense energy. The high-slit skirt paired with the White silk thigh garter accentuated the character's essence while requiring constant poise. Seeing the harmonious blend of light, shadow, and garment textures in the final images made every bit of fatigue worthwhile. I hope this Firefly ACG Expo D2 set lets everyone experience the character's singular charm.
