This time I cosplayed Evanescia at Alo Fes, and the venue's lighting was unexpectedly perfect for the texture of this white uniform. The wig underwent layered trimming and slight adjustments to the bangs to give the pink hair a more airy feel in front of the lens. Securing the rabbit ears and hair accessories also took a lot of effort, as I had to consider the range of movement during the event. For the eye makeup, a purple-pink gradient blending was used to match the tone of the character's pupils. The lip makeup intentionally narrowed the contours to bring out a bit of her calm yet slightly provocative personality. During the shoot, we mainly captured half-body angles. Because there were many details on the bow tie and the badge on the chest, a wide-angle close-up could clearly present the texture of the tailoring and accessories. The half-finger gloves on my hands and the golden decorations on the cuffs reflected the indoor light beautifully, and I'm quite satisfied with the completeness of the overall look. To me, cosplay is not just about recreating the appearance, but more importantly, about getting closer to the character's inner aura through makeup, hair, and poses, making it a true form of Roleplay. This time, I tried some subtle expressions with emotional depth, hoping to convey that sense of being at ease yet hiding a sharp edge that defines Evanescia. I also met many fellow fans on-site and happily exchanged some tips on makeup and wig styling. No excessive filters were used in post-processing, retaining our original skin tone and the fabric texture of the clothes. After all, realism is where the charm of Roleplay lies in this 2D world. Looking forward to meeting everyone with a new look next time.
