Completing the shoot for this cosplay outfit actually involved many details I want to share with everyone. The design of this costume is highly layered. In terms of material selection, I specifically chose a deep blue fabric with a satin luster and a leather texture, which beautifully reflects the cool-toned studio lights, giving the entire outfit a richer texture. The white plush shawl on the shoulders not only balances out the heaviness of the dark main tone but also adds a luxurious and elegant aura, slightly trembling with the scale of movements. The double-row pearl chains at the waist and that blue fabric rose are small clever ideas of this look; they link the layers of the upper and lower body together, making the waistline more distinct.

Today's look is paired with black-and-white geometrically patterned garter stockings and high heels. This design visually elongates the leg lines very well, especially when choosing a sitting posture, showcasing an atmosphere that is both elegant and slightly playful. The combination of long leather gloves and a wooden cane allows me to better grasp that sense of confidence from the character when holding props. You might have noticed the white diamond pattern wrapping details on the cane; this detail visually echoes the color scheme of the bowtie and the pattern of the garter stockings, and this sense of unity makes the whole outfit look more complete.

The studio set for this shoot was designed with great care: white gothic arches, vintage silver candelabras, a birdcage and light blue flowers in the corner, and black-and-white sheer drapes hanging over the arches—these props jointly constructed a gorgeous and slightly mysterious scene. I particularly love the high-reflection mirror-like material laid on the floor; it reflects our silhouettes and the surrounding scenery like a water surface. This double-layer visual extension makes the layering of the entire set of photos incredibly rich, and also makes the changes in light and shadow more dynamic.

During the shooting process, we tried to capture different states. Static close-up sitting poses can highlight the gorgeousness and elegance of the costume, while the moment the skirt flares up can demonstrate dynamic tension. To capture that photo of the skirt tossing up perfectly, we actually adjusted the fabric's angle back and forth several times, aiming to keep the folds natural while ensuring the composition wasn't affected. The full-body shot standing while leaning on the cane emphasizes the character's aura more; the camera is angled slightly upwards, paired with her slightly dominant gaze, letting her tsundere personality flow out naturally in those moments.

There are so many details in this costume—every stitching seam on the bowtie, gloves, and shoes holds up well under close-up shots. The wig uses the character's very classic bright orange color, trimmed into layered straight bangs and long curls, paired with that highly recognizable ahoge (cowlick) on top of the head, making the silhouette of both the profile and the back very vivid. For cosplayers, although a reflective floor adds a premium feel to the image, it also poses a major challenge to the lighting technician. If the lighting angle is off even slightly, messy strong light reflections will appear on the floor; we repeatedly adjusted many light positions on-site to achieve the current effect.

I have always felt that the title "Palmtop Tiger" is extremely fitting; she seems petite, yet possesses an astonishing aura and a stubborn personality. When shooting this set of photos, I tried to recreate her confidence and independence through my eyes and body movements. Although the heavy, multi-layered skirt and complex environmental set imposed certain restrictions on my posture during the shoot, when we finally saw the finished photos, we felt that all the fine-tuning and repeated re-shoots were entirely worth it. The process of cosplay is often like this; rather than saying it's an imitation, it's more like finding the moments of resonance with the character. This shoot gave me a more vivid and concrete experience of the tsundere personality behind her classic "Urusai!" catchphrase within the 2D world.
