This shoot chose a pure gray background to heavily emphasize the lines and color scheme of Evanescia's costume. The white wide sleeves are printed with golden cloud patterns and flowers, paired with a dark gray pleated skirt and a black belt. The red and black contrasting bow tie and boot heel accents perfectly balance the overall cool tones. The wig features a twin-tail plus long bunny ears styling, processed for fluffiness. Paired with the red eyeshadow in the eye makeup, it makes the gaze look much sharper. In terms of props, that tachi with red patterns was specially made, with the wrappings on the hilt echoing the red string on the wrist. For the stance, a dynamic pose of single-leg touching the ground while swinging the sword was chosen, aiming to recreate the character's lightness in battle within a flat frame. Additionally, that set of photos holding bubble tea serves as an easter egg for fans, unwinding a bit to showcase the character's playful side in a non-combat state. Actually, a lot of thought went into the prop and costume details—such as the metallic buckle on the belt, the flow of the skirt pleats, and the tailoring of the gloves—all trying to stay as close as possible to the official designs. During the shoot, the lighting used a softbox combined with rim lighting, preventing the white parts of the clothing from being overexposed while preserving texture. The post-processing did not over-edit, maintaining the skin's natural texture and the smooth transition of light and shadow. To master this kind of slightly chuunibyou yet handsome character, physical expressiveness is very important. Especially the shifting of the center of gravity when drawing and sheathing the sword requires repeated practice to avoid looking stiff. I hope this set of official photos can convey Evanescia's both cool and slightly arrogant temperament. This shooting experience was highly satisfying, and I also thank the photographer for their patient cooperation.
