[March 7th cosplay] The Six-Phased Ice Girl in Honkai: Star Rail

Putting on March 7th's classic blue, white, and purple outfit, it is definitely my favorite look recently. I originally planned to shoot outdoors, but I felt that a pure white blanket paired with a light blue bouquet could better reflect the character's agile and gentle temperament. The wig for this pink-haired character deliberately retains the natural curve of the bangs, with white flower cluster hair accessories dotted on top, perfectly matching the overall lightweight visual feel.

The details of the costume are actually well worth mentioning: the top features a halter-neck design paired with ruffled oversleeves, with a form-fitting white base layer and a light purple outer cape worn in layers, making the depth highly distinct. The iconic deep blue bow at the neckline must be tied neatly to restore the character's playful energy. The blue miniskirt on the lower body features subtle snowflake patterns, paired with textured white leggings, displaying a very clear fabric texture under the soft light.

As for the scene layout, a wooden empty photo frame and metallic mirrored props were specially placed to create a dreamy atmosphere of a person inside a painting, strengthening the narrative of the overall frame. Wanting to highlight a soft, dreamy feel, we used diffuse reflection fill light throughout the session. Instead of letting highlights hit the face directly, we allowed the light to form a ring of rim light behind, making the hair strands look exceptionally translucent. The postures of squatting or leaning on the blanket were actually inspired by the character's daily idle animations. I believe that restoring a character isn't just about wearing the right clothes; more importantly, it's about capturing her lazy yet confident state.

Although the studio shoot was hard work, seeing the perfect integration of the blue-purple tones and the ideal Anime girl temperament in the final prints makes all the effort completely worth it. In the lore of Honkai: Star Rail, March 7th's Six-Phased Ice always brings a sense of security. This styling counts as a tribute to her personality, and I hope to freeze this vitality through the lens during this March 7th cosplay session.
