Changing into this Evernight outfit and stepping into the studio, the moment I raised my phone to press the shutter, I fully immersed myself in the character's state. The layering of this costume is far more complex than expected; although the large black-and-white color blocking looks simple and clean in photos, the actual experience is a rich stacking of fabrics and intricate details.

Let's first talk about the upper body structure. The white collar is made of a rigid material, which holds its stand-collar shape perfectly without collapsing against the neck. The black cross and bow knot embellishment right in the center of the collar serves as a crucial finishing touch. The striking red flower accessory on the chest, paired with silver and black leaf textures, forms the visual centerpiece of the entire look. Under the pink ambient lighting, the red petals catch a muted sheen, appearing even more profound against the black backdrop.

The semi-transparent white sleeves and sheer tulle patchwork are very distinctive, revealing the white cuffs just right. When making arm movements or holding up the phone, the tulle sways naturally, adding a soft and flowing touch to the otherwise tough black coat. Selfie angles were actually quite tricky to manage because the wide-angle phone lens widens the frame edges. I had to control my elbow angle, trying not to let the phone obstruct the full outline of the red flower on my chest, while ensuring the lens could capture both the collar ornaments and the waist chain simultaneously. Clicking the phone screen while wearing black gloves also tested my touch sensitivity, requiring a bit more pressure. After micro-adjusting the angle a few times, I finally found a pose where the waist chain drapes naturally and the cinched waistline of the outfit is fully displayed.

When embodying such a cool-toned character, posture control is far more important than smiling. I didn't need to make exaggerated expressions, but simply maintained a serene, focused look combined with natural hand placement to recreate the character's calm aura. Overall, from putting on the gear to taking the selfie, working through the outfit's structure, metal accessories, and makeup gave me a deeper understanding of this anime recreation.
