The contrast of this black and blue dress against the classical long pillars is the main atmosphere I wanted to emphasize in these solo photos. The full-body, sword-holding composition in Figure 3 visually elongates the character's proportions, and the natural frame formed by the Roman columns adds a sense of stability to the overall image. The long sword held in my hand served as a prop with a matte finish to prevent harsh metallic reflections from overpowering the layered shades of black in the outfit, while the gold hilt adds just the right touch of brightness to the frame.
As for fine-tuning the look, the blue-and-black wig has an ideal luster in person. Paired with the ram horn decorations, it presents a very natural hair texture under both indoor and outdoor light reflections. The costume has many layers, especially the ribbons at the waist and the ruffles on the cuffs, which needed to be adjusted constantly during standing and sitting poses; otherwise, changing movements would easily cause harsh creases. During the shoot, we also shifted positions according to the changing light. The diffused ambient light outdoors is actually perfect for showcasing the silhouette of this dress, preventing the black areas of the skirt from becoming completely flat and keeping the details of the double ruffles visible.
The solo portion this time mainly focused on switching between standing and sitting poses. The kneeling angle in Figure 5 was captured by intentionally lowering the camera, using a low-angle shot to expand the spreading area of the skirt hem. Paired with the tilt angle of the sword hilt, it keeps the entire posture relaxed yet full of tension. After experimenting with various high-angle and low-angle lighting setups, we chose a uniform soft light scheme to accurately restore the original colors of the costume. Upon sorting through the images, the overall texture of the styling basically met my expectations. I hope this set of photos beautifully presents the character's aura and our dedication to the costume, makeup, and props in this piece of Anime cosplay roleplay.
