I embarked on the second wave of my anime pilgrimage wearing a self-coordinated ensemble inspired by the joint doujin event, snapping the nightscape shots swiftly on the walk back after dinner. The look centered on a wine-red long-sleeved blouse tied with a scarlet ribbon bow at the collar, featuring ruffled tiers along the shoulders and cuffs, paired with an ankle-length A-line maxi skirt in reddish-brown and beige plaid. For footwear, I chose black block-heeled Mary Janes, accessorized with a black cylindrical handbag. The wig was long, wavy, and light blue, styled with blunt bangs and subtle accent side-braids. Makeup emphasized the eyes, paired with retro crimson lipstick and dangling linear drop earrings, coming together into a grounded Vintage style outfit with an everyday feel.

Having wrapped the daytime convention, I wanted to capture candid, slice-of-life frames against the nocturnal cityscape. Framed by crosswalks and neon signs, the outfit required minimal forced posing—candid strides and over-the-shoulder turns looked effortless. Streetlights cast onto the light blue wig yielded surprisingly gorgeous specular reflections. Though physically drained during the shoot, reviewing the camera previews made every minute worthwhile. Walking all day in Mary Janes certainly left my feet aching, yet enduring for styling I love was an easy trade-off.

The most unforgettable incident happened on the walk from Shin-Okubo back to Shinjuku Station: cutting right past Kabukicho, I bumped head-on into one of our school teachers walking out of a venue. Dressed in full regalia with complete makeup and my bag slung over my shoulder waiting at a red light, my heart skipped a beat in sudden panic, debating whether to say hello. Thanks to the dramatic contrast of the blue wig and cosplay makeup, combined with chaotic night lighting, the teacher didn't recognize me at all and strolled right past. Looking back, that sudden collision between 2D daily life and real-world reality was both thrilling and hilarious—a bizarre anecdote unique to this pilgrimage.

The styling concept was deliberately casual, aiming to convey an unhurried yet ceremonial mood throughout the pilgrimage. The blouse ruffles and collar ribbon avoided excessive flashiness, while the plaid maxi skirt added grounded vintage depth. From the convention floor to the streets of Shinjuku, meeting different people and capturing beloved imagery made the entire journey feel like an unforgettable mini-adventure.
