For this shoot, I chose this iconic blue-and-white sailor suit outfit, paired with smooth pink long hair and black thigh-high socks. Using a cozy indoor setting, I wanted to recreate the energetic and approachable traits of Ace Taffy that I hold close to my heart. The use of light was actually quite important; I specifically chose a time in the afternoon when sunlight filtered through the wooden window shutters. This natural play of light and shadow on my face and outfit was much softer than harsh artificial lights, which greatly enhanced the overall atmosphere. For the makeup, I opted for soft pink eyeshadow paired with highlighter on the tip of my nose and cheeks to make my complexion look rosier and more energetic. I also kept the wig styling as natural as possible, adding a bit of layering.

The shooting environment was arranged very comfortably. That massive beige plush teddy bear really helped with immersion, and lying next to it gave a relaxing sensation of being embraced. For the first photo, I chose a saluting pose to showcase the character's typical playful and confident spirit. The detail of the black gloves on my hands nicely neutralized the potential over-sweetness of the pink hair and sailor suit, adding a touch of cool texture. The subsequent poses included stretching out my arms, lying flat while raising my legs, and sitting on the carpet making a peace sign to the camera, all aimed at making this set of photos feel lively and dynamic. I also used old English newspapers on the floor as props to enrich the visual layering and add a touch of artistic flair. The combination of the thigh-high socks and the skirt hem beautifully displayed the lines of my figure across different sitting and lying postures while keeping it cute.

As a cosplay of a VTuber character, matching the movements, expressions, and details is incredibly important. For instance, the fluffiness of the twin tails and the blue lining of the sailor collar are small details that must be perfected to make the photos enduringly appealing. We experimented with multiple camera angles for this cosplay photography shoot, such as high-angle shots and eye-level front views, to showcase the styling from different perspectives. To capture these subtle movements perfectly, I communicated with the photographer multiple times about the pauses and points of exertion. The final results turned out much more vivid than I had anticipated. In fact, there's no need to force any exaggerated poses; simply interacting with familiar plush props and relaxing allows the lens to capture very natural moments. I feel the biggest advantage of indoor/home-style cosplay photography is its sense of intimacy. Everyday elements like wooden beds, floral sofas, and carpets bring the character to life in a more relatable way.

The outfit itself is highly recognizable, and the white main color adorned with blue and yellow accents looks visually very refreshing. To match the overall texture, the black gloves and thigh-high socks are absolute masterstrokes. They not only flatter the lines of my arms and legs but also add a sharp, clean touch to the outfit. During the shoot, the photographer utilized the natural light from the window and bedside to slightly brighten my face, making the skin texture look exceptionally clear and transparent. My personal little trick is to make use of slight low-angle or side-view perspectives to better elongate body proportions. The pairing with the teddy bear made the color palette richer, with a warm and bright overall tone. This final set of photos is a dedicated interpretation of my favorite character's image. When I saw the raw photos after the shoot, I immediately fell in love with this everyday, vibrant atmosphere. During post-processing, I tried my best to preserve the original colors, light, and shadow without applying fancy filters, emphasizing this natural and lively sense of 2D daily life at home.
