This outfit of Cyrene genuinely has so many details, from the hollowed-out patterns on the chest to the gradient dyeing of the skirt hem, with every single layer utilizing a different fabric patchwork. The halo and beast ears on the head needed to be secured separately; during the shoot, I adjusted the angles as much as possible to let the hair ornaments and hair strands blend together naturally. For the makeup, soft pink and purple eyeshadows were used to echo the color scheme of the clothing, while enhancing the eyelashes and eyeliner to give the gaze more spirit.
The set design this time has a great sense of atmosphere—European-style carved mirror frames, white Roman columns, along with gauze curtains and floral arts match the character's ethereal look beautifully. To shoot a lightweight and flowy effect, several extending and looking-back postures were specially designed in terms of movements, letting the skirt hem and ribbons generate a dynamic flow. Post-production avoided over-color-grading, preserving that soft-light translucent texture of the original frames, focusing on restoring the pearlescent and iridescent details on the costume.
Every time I suit up in this gear, it takes quite a bit of thought, but seeing the final photos successfully present that sweet and dreamy appearance from the story makes all the preparation completely worth it.
