A great deal of thought went into this Ghost Blade Wind Chime Princess look, starting right from the wig styling and makeup design. The long straight black wig needed an airy, wind-blown texture; the delicate gold chains and circular metallic sequin headpieces along the crown were pinned on piece by piece before shooting to ensure they wouldn't shift when tilting my head or reclining sideways. The golden scale pauldron armor is the visual centerpiece of this outfit; its edge textures reflect a distinct sheen under studio lights, and to ensure a snug fit to my silhouette, many hidden snap adjustments were made inside.
For the makeup, extending the eye shape was the key priority, deepening the outer corners with brownish-red tones to complement the green colored contact lenses, striving to approach that enigmatic yet slightly wild temperament. The shooting set was dressed with thick plush rugs, flanked by stacked antique books and hollowed-out metal spheres. Peacock feathers served as background accents, shimmering with interwoven blue and green flecks whenever the light caught them.
The shots framing me alongside the lions heavily tested gaze delivery. Although the massive predator was a static model or composite element, holding an unwavering line of sight in one direction to pinpoint the exact focal angle made my eyes dry quickly. Beside me was also a lion cub; curling up on my lap was actually a soft plush prop, but for compositional harmony, my legs had to maintain a crossed curve continuously, with the instep pulled taut in silver strappy high-heeled sandals.
The small golden embossed box in my hand carried considerable weight, and the half-face concealing gesture was tested across several angles. The final position chosen just barely obscured part of the jawline, concentrating visual focus squarely onto the eyes and brows. The fabric of the black off-the-shoulder robe wrinkled easily, requiring the assistant to constantly smooth it out between takes.
The entire shoot was quite a test of stamina and patience, spanning several hours from lighting arrangements and reflector angle adjustments to the photographer's framing. The character concept of Wind Chime Princess in Ghost Blade is truly unique—that coexistence of fragility and danger demands precise calibration in body language. Opting for a luxurious set imbued with exotic style, I hoped to convey that intertwined essence of Northern Desert sands and regal opulence.
