Running around the floor at HoYofest 2026 in Malaysia today started right from morning entry. Putting this outfit together was far more complex than expected, especially the white wing hairpieces on top and all the body straps; getting the styling and makeup entirely sorted out before heading out took nearly two hours. The wig has a black-and-red split color scheme with the ends styled into an inward curl, and the purple contact lenses were chosen after trying several different pairs.
The foot traffic on the exhibition floor was enormous, and the blue-toned booth backdrops were fantastic for taking Convention photos. Holding a purple cartoon-printed shopping bag as a prop surprisingly produced great shots. Moving back and forth through the venue searching for good lighting while wearing strappy footwear left my legs aching by the end of the day, and my shoulder grew stiff from carrying the bag the entire time. Yet whenever checking the camera display, all the effort immediately felt worthwhile.
The outfit has abundant details: white feather ornaments, golden metal accessories, and a semi-sheer chiffon skirt hem that flowed with rich dimension during movement. To keep the garments smooth and wrinkle-free, leaning back against chairs in the rest lounge was out of the question. I met plenty of fellow Anime girl fans today; everyone helped each other adjust wigs and accessories while sharing tips on costume crafting and posing angles.
The convention energy was truly incredible. Even with the venue air conditioning blasting, pacing around in a complete Fantasy style cosplay set still built up a sweat, requiring occasional trips to the restroom for makeup touch-ups. By the end of the day, exhaustion kicked in and my feet were screaming in protest. Still, this feeling of full immersion in a hobby remains deeply fulfilling. The plan is to wear a slightly lighter outfit and attend again the day after tomorrow; rumor has it there will be fresh booth activities, so hopefully even more great pictures can be captured. Tonight requires a relaxing face mask, sorting through today's garments, and re-securing some loose golden hardware to stay fully prepared for the next appearance.
