[FF14 Miqo'te Cosplay] Hangzhou Hendelin Pop-up Store Review Plog

I made a special trip over the weekend to the Hendelin Pop-up Store in Hangzhou, wearing this newly coordinated Miqo'te maid outfit styling for the outing. This outfit was prepared half a month ago, but the moment I put it on, the visual bulkiness was still a bit beyond expectations. Especially around the shoulders and cuffs, with large areas of ruffles, layered white tulle, and pink-and-black spliced fabric—while the design fits the sweet and adorable style of a Miqo'te, garments featuring large bows and puffy sleeves do tend to broaden shoulder outlines on camera. Just as my friend poked fun at it, the outfit indeed looks a bit \"bulky.\"

To complement the overall look, I specifically applied white facial markings under my eyes, paired with light pink lip gloss and grayish-pink eyeshadow, aiming to retain a bit of a beast-girl's wild and nimble charm in 2D visual representation. The black wig was styled into sectioned side buns, topped with a giant black velvet bow and fluffy black beast ears, creating a full volume for the head. Around my neck, I wore a black-and-white lace choker with a pendant so the neckline area wouldn't look too bare.

Since we came for the Final Fantasy XIV collaboration, we naturally ordered the Hangzhou exclusive combo meals and drinks. The wait was indeed a bit long; from sitting down to the first dish arriving took over half an hour, during which I could hear adjacent tables discussing the slow serving speed as well. Food-wise, the tempura fried shrimp salad served in a glass goblet was visually striking—green cucumber base, cream in the middle, topped with huge fried shrimp. However, in reality, the fried batter was a bit thick, and the natural sweetness of the shrimp didn't fully shine through. The mini burger in the set meal was also slightly dry, so overall it was fairly average.

What pleasantly surprised me, however, was the novelty fan included with the meal. The fan face featured a green cat-head design with a semi-transparent acrylic handle, decorated with a round Otter acrylic charm at the end. Holding it worked great as a photo prop and was practical for fanning, with quite refined quality.

Putting food flavor aside, the interior decor of the Hydaelyn-themed restaurant was done with great care. Dark red wooden tables and chairs paired with white patterned floor tiles, along with vintage wooden wall paneling. The colorful banners above the bar, giant character posters on the walls, and game CGs looping on big screens maxed out the immersive vibe in every detail. If you ignore the long wait time for checking in and taking photos, this environment with excellent hard裝 conditions is fantastic for Cosplayers to take indoor photo sets. The dark tabletop paired with my black-white-pink outfit presented wonderful skin texture under warm lighting.

Because my outfit was quite heavy, walking around in such a cozy, compact Japanese-style pop-up store felt a bit \"space-consuming,\" though my traveling friends thought it had a cute contrast. Looking back at the whole experience, the dining aspect certainly has room for improvement; I'd suggest friends planning to visit bring their own favorite drink as a background photo prop to offset some impatience while waiting. But as a Final Fantasy XIV player, being able to spend such an immersive weekend with fellow fans in the real world made this sense of ritual and fan-exclusive atmosphere feel completely worth the trip.
