[FF14 Miqo'te cosplay] Daily Outfit and Photo Sharing in Final Fantasy XIV

This time, I did a FF14 Miqo'te cosplay outfit. After the anime convention ended, my elders came to pick me up, and my grandma instantly saw through it, saying that the makeup under my eyes looked like kitten whiskers. Although the ears could also pass for a little fox, my identity as a Miqo'te was easily exposed. After arriving home, I couldn't wait to hug my cat, Tudou. As a result, this sleeping little master directly gave me a grumpy face, leaving only old Lao Fei in the distance—who wanted to hug but was too heavy to carry at all—silently watching me.

For today's look, I actually spent a lot of thought on the outfit matching. The overall choice is a layered small dress with a white base featuring light blue and pink details. The fluffy ruffle design is paired with custom white long gloves, and the metal buckle details on the gloves are pushed to the max. On top of my head is a custom plush animal ears cosplay headband; the edges of the headband adopt a ruffled pleated design, cooperating with the black bows at the hair ends to look highly textured whether in frontal selfies or looking back sideways. Below the light grayish-blue bowtie on the chest, there is also a custom white decorative ribbon with a special letter pattern, giving the pure white dress a vibrant pop of color.

As for the makeup, to coordinate with the Miqo'te setting, I specially paired it with teal contact lenses and pink blush spread horizontally beneath the eyes—which is what my grandma jokingly called 'kitten whiskers'—creating an innocent yet agile big-eye effect. Combined with the flat bangs on the forehead and the pink twin-tails on both sides, the overall look appears highly full. The overhead lighting atmosphere on the day of the convention was exceptionally good, especially those sparkling crystal chandeliers above, casting a dreamlike filter over the entire set of photos. The camera flash combined with these small light sources made me look like a glowing baby.

In fact, besides holding a camera to record the exhibition this time, the exact moment I was picked up and brought home by my family felt exceptionally magical. For the clothing material, a satin fabric carrying a certain glossiness was chosen; it not only resists wrinkling easily but also maintains a high-end feel under the complex and intense lighting of the exhibition hall, exhibiting an exquisite texture in front of the lens. The white long gloves on my hands feature not only lacing details but also embellishments of metal rings, offering a strong sense of ritual when raising the camera.

After returning home, the coordination of this outfit remains highly suitable for daily interactions. Especially when paired with black cross-strap platform shoes and white over-the-knee stockings, the overall visual center of gravity is lowered to the ankles, making the legs look exceptionally long, while also being highly suitable for casually wandering around the exhibition. Although wearing the platform shoes and costume for a full day left me a bit physically tired, returning to a familiar environment and hugging my cat Tudou for a photo became today's greatest healing moment. Though Tudou, that white fur ball, looked unhappy in my arms, that fluffy touch happened to perfectly echo the animal ears cosplay headband on my head and the gloves.

I think the highlights of the entire styling are the custom decorations on the belt and bowtie, making the originally basic white dress look much more recognizable. Furthermore, this kind of wide, fluffy ruffled skirt hem possesses an immense sense of lightness when walking around, as if it comes with a built-in floating special effect. The glove's strap design also carries a touch of techwear flavor, beautifully neutralizing the sweetness of the skirt. When shooting full-body photos at the exhibition, basically as long as I stood straight and paired it with a slight head tilt or a casual wave, it could capture excellent extension proportions.

When facing the lens, I held a camera in one hand and a juice drink in the other, giving off an overall casual atmosphere that feels both dedicated to recording life and highly relaxed. Although it's a Miqo'te styling, it integrated this casual state during shooting instead, without any forced awkwardness. When releasing this look, many fellow enthusiasts were present around the scene, taking photos of each other and leaving behind different shining moments within their respective lenses. Although the process of taking photos always brings a bit of fatigue, seeing the final photos makes all the exhaustion vanish into thin air. Although the animal ears cosplay headband on my head is huge, its inner base is very solid and fixed firmly; even when running around carrying heavy photographic gear, it didn't lean or slip at all, which is a massive bonus for a coser's experience.

Today, from the hustle and bustle of the exhibition to the warmth of home, and from my grandma's teasing to Tudou's cold stare, the contrast was pushed to the max, yet these are all the most authentic spices of life. This pairing of costume and wig preserves the cool aura of the 2D world while infusing plenty of sweet girl elements. Carrying out such a cosplay in daily life requires a certain amount of matching patience, but the sense of character immersion after getting fully dressed is incredibly delightful.
