Looking at navigation before setting off, the FF14 pop-up store was a whopping 40 kilometers away—a pretty remote location. After bumping around in a car for over an hour, I felt completely dazed. But when I finally reached the mall and saw those familiar poster display boards, all my fatigue instantly melted away.
The event site was much quieter than expected. Since it was a regular weekday, I had the space almost entirely to myself, save for a few busy staff members setting things up. Having this VIP-like private access felt unexpectedly thrilling; with zero crowds, I could calmly adjust my wig and Cosplay outfit details. Chatting briefly with the friendly store staff made for a wonderfully relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.
Before heading out, I specifically tweaked the color saturation of my eye makeup to match this Catgirl cosplay look, enhancing the 2D anime feel. Paired with generous blush and blue-green contact lenses, the texture came across clean and translucent under the camera lens.
As for the highlights of this Cosplay outfit, the animal ears had the perfect balance of firmness and softness, sculpted with sharp 3D structure so they stayed securely in place without slipping. Since I had to catch an afternoon flight, the moment I wrapped up photos I grabbed my luggage and sprinted for the airport—a true warp-speed effort with not even a spare minute to sit down for a glass of water. Most photos were quick snapshots taken while walking around the venue; being unedited smartphone camera shots bathed in warm indoor lighting, they unexpectedly captured a soft, dreamlike mood. Although the long journey back was exhausting, being able to capture these memories in such an atmospheric setting made every second worth it. I do hope official organizers consider transport accessibility for future offline events—40 kilometers worth of taxi fare definitely pinched the wallet! Still, this experience felt wonderfully fresh, and I'm eagerly looking forward to more high-quality offline events in Final Fantasy XIV.
